GOD DOES NOT HATE YOU
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi
Matthew 18:14 "Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should
perish."Matt18:12-14
True love is a rare commodity in today's world . It is against this backdrop that
the message of God's unconditional love for us when preached seems unreal , most people would say if God so loved us ,why
does he allow so much sufferings in the world .
As difficult as it may sound the irrevocable truth still remains that we are the objects of God's love. God's plans for our salvation was not driven by a sense of pity for us or of moral obligation to save us. He saved us because of His infinite love for us (Jn. 3:16).God loves people. He even loves those who rebel against Him.
Jesus said in (Lk. 15:7), "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."Once we experience the life-changing power of Christ,
there is a tendency to become harsh and impatient with others who continue to live outside God's will . We sometimes forget that
it was the love and goodness of God that brought us to repentance (Rom. 2:4), and we become condemning and judgmental
toward those outside our religious circle of friends. This is not the attitude that Jesus had, nor the attitude He wants us to have. The scriptures says in Eph2:4-8AMP Bible"But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love which He loved us,
Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in
union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace
(His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s
salvation). God loves YOU!
