YOU SHALL ENJOY RICHES WITHOUT SORROWS

6:19-21, "...For where your treasure is, there will your heart will be
also."
. Possessing more than enough money is not necessarily a proof that one is
blessed of God(Rev.3:17). Resent events have shown that some of those we once celebrated as being blessed with immense wealth are actually thieves and killers, therefore, possession of wealth does not necessarily equate with divine blessing.
Money is a creation of man intended to facilitate trade and is neither good nor evil . It is the unending pursuit of money at the detriment of a healthy lifestyle that is the root of all evil, it is erroneous to put the love of money above God (1 Tim. 6:10)! This is idolatry, and this is what Jesus is addressing.A simple test of one's love for money is how often you think or talk about money in comparison to God. We talk more about the thing we cherish most. Nothing destroys marriages like the love of money. It drives God-fearing suitors away.

The quality of your prayer, worship , discipleship , fellowship with God's people and ministry is determined by your attitude towards money. Ministers whose ministries are motivated by monetary gains are always economical with the truth of the gospel and create room for marital infidelity.
It is for this reason that the lord
established a system whereby prosperity is a by-product of putting God as top
priority to avert the tendency to have an unhealthy craving for money. As
Matthew 6:33 states, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God .." We
should gladly receive the blessing of prosperity and not covet it, which is
idolatry.
The blessing of the Lord makes us rich and
adds no sorrow however, laying up treasures on the earth leads to our hearts
being drawn away from the things of God. A key to success in the Kingdom of God
is having the right perspective and singleness of heart for God. We do not have
the capacity to love two things equally at the same time. If we will simply put
God and His Kingdom first in every area of our lives, He will add to us all the
wealth that we need. As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and saviour and read this now, receive great peace in Jesus name.
