THE REALITY OF THE LIFE AFTER DEATH

By  Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi
Luke 16:19-31"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried....."
There is life after death as portrayed in this narrative by Jesus Christ of a real event . It is easy to logically deduce this if we consider the fact that if today is yesterday’s future then it means tomorrow is today’s future and so on through eternity. It is the activities within a time frame that defines the period of an event for example; a wedding anniversary date is defined by the wedding that took place on that date. It therefore follows that for every existing time frame there must be an event, even eternity. Based on this logic, there must be an afterlife since time has no end or else there won’t be eternity.
There is no transition period or dimension where souls are kept frozen for a futuristic resurrection of our bodies. From the above scripture we immediately go into a conscious eternity, Heb 9:27” And just as it is destined that men die only once, and after that comes judgment”,TLB. There is no middle ground in divine justice, no“soul hibernation ", or "purgatory" and there is no second chance , there are only two destinations possible after death. We either go to a place of torment for the wicked or a place of joyful bliss for the righteous
Heaven and hell are two dimensions of the Holy Spirit just as there is the waste bin and the useful home page in an email on the internet. Hell is like the waste bin , a place of intense pain with no end. The human soul is a mirror image of our bodies and can feel pain and experience joy.  The rich man's body was in the grave and yet this scripture speaks of him lifting up his eyes and seeing Lazarus in Abraham's bosom. Your soul is like your mirror image but alive: it is the center of our consciousness and never seizes to exist. We would be able to recognize people who did not make heaven and vice versa  .Those in hell suffer from the pains from unquenchable flames and the thought of loved ones coming to this place of  intense hopelessness and horror. Arguing against the existence of hell will not make the reality of hell go away it is like denying that good and evil are non existent.
Hell is a place of physical, emotional and intellectual torment , imagine all the pain  , heartbreak, depression ,shock , disappointment ,grief and  fear that a person can ever experience all rolled in to one nightmarish episode. The greatest gift one could ever give to a person is the gift of salvation that comes through  the gospel  of Jesus  and the greatest reward is that of being used to save a soul from hell .
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive boldness to declare the gospel passionately with signs and wonders following in Jesus name.

IS THE FIRST BORN CURSED ?

Image
Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Genesis. 49:3 -4 "Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:Unstable as water, thou shalt not  excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst  thou it: he went up to my couch. "         The theology that says the first-born child going through  life's  difficulties is a victim of the curse of the firstborn is unfounded in scripture and counter-productive. Those who teach this often make reference to Gen.49:3-4 to buttress their claim. For there to be a curse, there has to be a justifiable cause for it. It is important that a clear distinction be made between a curse and the trials of life. The word  'curse' is the Hebrew word 'Arar' which means to be: hated ,despised as in Genesis 12:3" ..and curse him that curseth thee:.... "  God does not hate the first-born child but loves them (John...

GOD HATES DISUNITY .

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble."Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬10 NLTBible  "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLTBible      The Lord wants us to have unity , the body of believers is like the human body that can only function optimally when every part is functioning effectively and contributing its potentials to the other parts of the body.     Disunity is like losing a part of your body , this results in loss in strength and potentials and capacity to perform . The lord wants us to be united. " Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and pe...

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi " Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God." Hebrews 3:12 NLTBible  ' Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma. The danger in this is the relative...
