SPEED-UP HEALING AND RECOVERY THROUGH PRAISE WORSHIP

By  Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi
Luke 17:15-16NIV ‘One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him— and he was a Samaritan.’
Thanksgiving is the highest display of worship that anyone could ever give to God. It is an acknowledgement of His trustworthiness and praiseworthiness which is the differentiating factor between Jehovah; the creator of the universe and man-made gods.
Jesus takes it personal when this simple act of appreciation is ignored by believers like the ones in Luke17:11-18. Though healing is free, miracles are very effective witnessing tools. They build the faith of those we share our testimonies with .
Testimonies have another benefit to the testifier; the scripture says in Luke 17:19 KJV ….your faith hath made thee whole…. The word Greek ‘sozo’describes the compound word ‘made the whole ‘: it means to ‘preserve’.  The fellow who testified and gave thanks received grace for preservation, which meant the leprosy never returned. When we refuse to give thanks we deprive ourselves of this opportunity . Miracles are free of charge and it is criminals to place a price tag on a miracle under whatever guise like the 'miracle seeds' often demanded by modern prophets  (Matthew10:8). Jesus and  the early disciples never demanded any of such before healing anyone, therefore , it is against God's love principles to do so (Isaiah43:13) it is a major sign of a false prophet ;believers in Jesus Christ have power to cast out evil spirits, there is no special schooling required. All that is needed is faith and a heart full of thanksgiving (Mark 16:17, Luke10:19, 1Thes5:18).
Thankfulness is the result of turning to God not just for the physical need to be met but also our spiritual need. Jesus desired to have a relationship with these lepers that would have guaranteed the restoration of all that they’d lost as a result of the leprosy. Lepers were outcast in the society. They automatically lost their homes, friends and means of livelihood as a result of what the religious laws prescribed. Therefore, the one that returned received total restoration in every area of his life unlike the others who did not return to give thanks. People who always share their testimonies are happier than those who do not . Giving of thanks builds faith and under such conditions it is very easy to believe that all things are indeed possible (Philemon1:6). The Christian who habitually gives thanks to God is Satan’s worst nightmare; nothing opens doors like a life of thanksgiving and showing appreciation to persons who have helped us . Paul and Silas prayed and gave thanks to God despite their circumstance ,they did this  to the hearing of their fellow inmates and the angels began to dance in worship (ps34:7) and it caused an earthquake leading to their release from Jail (Acts16:25-40).
Prayer : Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive grace for extraordinary breakthroughs and thanksgivings in Jesus name.

IS THE FIRST BORN CURSED ?

Image
Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Genesis. 49:3 -4 "Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:Unstable as water, thou shalt not  excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst  thou it: he went up to my couch. "         The theology that says the first-born child going through  life's  difficulties is a victim of the curse of the firstborn is unfounded in scripture and counter-productive. Those who teach this often make reference to Gen.49:3-4 to buttress their claim. For there to be a curse, there has to be a justifiable cause for it. It is important that a clear distinction be made between a curse and the trials of life. The word  'curse' is the Hebrew word 'Arar' which means to be: hated ,despised as in Genesis 12:3" ..and curse him that curseth thee:.... "  God does not hate the first-born child but loves them (John...

GOD HATES DISUNITY .

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble."Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬10 NLTBible  "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLTBible      The Lord wants us to have unity , the body of believers is like the human body that can only function optimally when every part is functioning effectively and contributing its potentials to the other parts of the body.     Disunity is like losing a part of your body , this results in loss in strength and potentials and capacity to perform . The lord wants us to be united. " Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and pe...

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi " Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God." Hebrews 3:12 NLTBible  ' Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma. The danger in this is the relative...
