THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD'S GOODNESS IS OUR SHIELD AGAINST SIN

CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE GOODNESS OF GOD YOUR SHIELD AGAINST SIN
Matt 10:28 "Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell”.(NLT bible)
There are two words used to describe fear in the Greek the first is “phobos” from where the word phobia comes from; it means (to be put in fear); alarm or fright, be afraid, exceedingly, fear, terror. The second is ‘phobeo’ ; to be in awe of, i.e revere.
It is the second kind of fear that Jesus says we should have for God . It is the reverential fear of God that demonstrates our love for Him. What you adore or worship a person, you are bound to revere that personality.
It isn’t God’s will for us to live in fear 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."  The more one gets rooted in God’s word , the  less likely one gets intimidated by life’s situation: there is no fear in God and God is love . John 4:7,8,18 We should not serve God with fear , this is counterproductive to our spiritual development and it is unhealthy. Hebrews 12:28 .
The ungodly dread is the weapon Satan uses very often to terrorize godly people. Through it many great potentials have been held locked up in our hearts for the fear of what may happen if we showcased them ranging from relationships, jobs to business opportunities.  The born again Christian should have no dread or terror of God unless they are planning to disengage from Jesus as their Savior. Our salvation is sealed under an eternal covenant with the precious blood of Jesus Christ and guarantees our acceptance with God (Eph. 1:6), as long as we hold fast to our declaration of faith in the atoning blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our relationship with God isn't meant to be driven by fear for God but by our consciousness of His goodness. To the non believer in Christ the fear of the Lord is a great deterrent from sin. Haven received grace we are grateful for His love towards us and this is what gives birth to our devotion to Him. As you read this now receive grace for an ever increasing consciousness of God's goodness as you take a bold step towards the fulfillment of your destiny in Jesus name
