LOVE DISPELS CONFUSION AND EVIL
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
James 3:16 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." We can not go a day without offending and being offended by someone . Revenge is a natural tendency by reason of the fallen nature of man partly because we are oblivious of its implications.
The natural law of justice says in Luke 6:31 "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise". this implies that every word or action taken against or in favour of anyone is a seed that whose harvest will materialize in the same action being taken against us or in our favour . Our words and actions are seeds which germinate into favourable or unfavourable events in future.
The grace of God does not interfere with the law of agriculture, rather, it reinforces the law, the scriptures says in Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." and again it says in 2cor.9:6-8" But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" so invariably God has given us everything we would ever need to live on earth and some of them are in seed form. Therefore, whatever we desire to be done for us by somebody else should first be done to the person God brings our way . The life we live on earth is all about sowing and reaping .
If we are carefully reflect on our lives , we would discover that some of what we are experiencing right now, we did to someone in the past consciously or unconsciously, the scriptures says in Ecclesiastes 7:14 "In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him." and Ecc.7:21-22 "Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others." meaning placing a curse on anyone is tantamount to cursing oneself ,so is blessing and loving and since the Spirit of God dwells in us, whatever we do to another believer in Christ, we did to Christ.
It is an abomination to place a curse on any human being , the scriptures says in James 3:9-13 " Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh."
We do not truly love God, if we don't love our neighbour especially members of the household of God (1Jn 4:20-21). It is common to see Christians hating persons who aren't members of their denomination because of trivial theological matters. There isn't a perfect church or preacher, also there isn't a perfect spouse, therefore waiting to find a perfect person to love is a chasing after the wind. The best person on earth will hurt your feelings at one time or the other. It is human to err.
Being hateful is against the laws of grace , Lev.19:17-18 says " Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord." the violation of this law comes with far reaching implications one of which is a regular encounter with mean spirited persons,( James 2:13b )says "For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy;.." God would rather we show mercy because in future, we may need mercy from someone else too.
Miracles are hindered by a heart full of hate (Gal.5:6 ) hatred gives Satan access into our lives leading to disasters, medical and financial problems etc. Hatred is an invitation to the operation of demonic activities in our lives (1Jn.2:9,11) and it is an indication that a person hasn't truly given their heart to Christ (1Jn 3:10). Hatred for one's family opens the door to death of businesses, jobs, marriages, children, spouses ,ministry etc.(1Jn 3:14b) and God describes such a person as a murderer( 1Jn 3:15) haters are liars and prone to marital infidelity (1Jn 4:20a ) and he or she that hates his brethren does not know who God is (1Jn 4:8) an they miss out on promotional opportunities, in Gen. 37:4 Joseph’s brother’s hatred for him because of his dreams, deprived them of the opportunity of being promoted along with him in Egypt.
As you receive this now may you be overshadowed with grace to break every yoke of bitterness and stagnation in your life in Jesus name.
