THE CARING AND APPROACHABLE GOD

Num 3:10 NLT “Appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood. But any unauthorized person who goes too near the sanctuary must be put to death."
      The era  of the old testament was a period characterized by a  very strict and regimented approach to worship . This was to show the Israelites the need for a savior . The rules and regulations of the old testament were not designed for anyone to fulfill but for God’s people to see the need for His mercy .  
      One of such rules involved the sanctity of the sanctuary , it was the most sacred place in the temple and  out of bounds to all except  Aaron and his sons who were ordained priests; anyone else entering into the inner sanctuary was to be put to death according to God’s commandment . The same rules applies in some of the world’s religions today, they have no-go areas and priests are celebrated as being next to God in honour ;but this is contrary to the laws of grace .They create a wrong impression of God's relationship with us ;who wants a father that is not approachable  
    Under the New Testament Jesus removed all of such barriers between God and man demonstrating God’s love towards us. In Matthew 9:20-22 the woman who had suffered twelve years of hemorrhage touched Jesus’ garment and was healed by her act of faith. This was a complete abomination according to Old Testament rules, but permitted under the new because God is more interested in saving you from your distress than in you following religious rules and regulations.
    The all-powerful God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament; He has given each one of us access to Him directly through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God is all holy and only the holy can approach Him . Jesus exchanged our ungodliness for His holiness on the cross and declared us qualified to have access to the most high God   2 Cor 5:21 NIV says “ God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. “ God no longer sees us as sinners but as sons and tokens of His righteousness.  Heb 10:19-22 AMP says “Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus, By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,  And since we have [such] a great and wonderful and noble Priest [Who rules] over the house of God,  Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water. “
   You are free from a guilty conscience through Christ therefore in your prayers approach God as your dear loving father whose loving care for you knows no bounds ; this way of reasoning is the key to victory over the onslaught  of the enemy . God is open to receive your prayers twenty four hours a day , praise God for giving us access to His everlasting presence (Heb.12:18-24)    As you receive Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and read this now receive freedom from the fear of death ,guilt and condemnation in Jesus name.

An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy.
