BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him." Philippians 1:29 NLT Bible

     The life of the believer is a battle against the world's sinful system . The world's system is governed by Satan and his demons expressing themselves through human agents (2Cor.4:4) . The world's system rewards those working contrary to the gospel with the intent of disregarding the holy scriptures. 

   The world's system is gradually infiltrating into the church and it is distinguishable by the following characteristics enumerated in 2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 MSG "Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people."  

   The world is full of emotionally abused women and the promoters of the worlds culture in the church target vulnerable women "These are the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy women and take advantage of them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every new religious fad that calls itself “truth.” They get exploited every time and never really learn."2Tim3:6-9 

   This culture is what the believer has to contend with everyday and results in very unpleasant situations ,prominent among which is rejection by those who hate the truth . The is referred to as the fight of faith . 
   It is a fight against enemies on many fronts and victory is assured because one with God  is majority . The believer requires boldness to make progress under this circumstances "Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself."
Philippians 1:28 NLTBible   Living against truth results in self destruction and it is the responsibility of the believer to prove this in a bold and courageous manner .  
    A parallel of the above scripture is the old testament scripture  Joshua 1:6 NLT
Bible  “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them." Walking by faith requires boldness and being  courageous regardless of the circumstance. As we trust in the lord we will eventually get to our promised land and our testimony will result in the deliverance of many . 
Prayer; Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to confront and conquer in Jesus name.

On investigation it was discovered the church suffered from a vicious cycle of evil family  patterns. They were not enjoying the fruits of the salvation experience . An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). His son Amnon defiled his sister Tamar (2Sam.13) and so on yet David was the anointed of the Lord....

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy.
