THE EASY WAY OUT OFTEN LEADS TO DISAPPOINTMENTS

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi   Prov 6:9-11 TLB “But you-all you do is sleep. When will you wake up? "Let me sleep a little longer!" Sure, just a little more!  And as you sleep, poverty creeps upon you like a robber and destroys you; want attacks you in full armor.”       The easy way out is born out of a reluctance to work or exert oneself in any way, it is a habitual inactivity while hoping to achieve one’s dreams and aspirations.  Marketing institutions have capitalized on this growing trend to sell the idea that a person can stay at home and do nothing and yet become stupendously rich through a pyramid scheme that requires a network of individuals being compensated with cash rewards for participating in the scheme. These financials schemes usually come with no securities because they are devoid of the three major ingredients that constitute a viable business namely: 1)a market, 2)a tangible accessible, verifiable product and 3)an ...

THE FEAR OF CRITICISM HINDERS PROSPERITY

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  Rom 15:14-16”. ..   So, my dear friends don't take my rather bold and blunt language as criticism. It's not criticism. I'm simply underlining how very much I need your help in carrying out this highly focused assignment God gave me,…”. Msg Bible         Criticism is the act of expressing disapproval and of noting the problems or faults of a person or thing (Merriam –Webstar Dictionary)         We loath disapproval by nature even the most religious amongst us. Prophet Job was a successful entrepreneur, preacher, husband and father; he suffered major losses because he could not stand being criticized Job 16:4 NLT “I could say the same things if you were in my place. I could spout off criticism and shake my head at you.” He preferred flattery even if he was heading in the wrong direction Job 16:5NLT “But if it were me, I would encourage you. I would try to take...

BREAKING THE CYCLE OF UNNECESSARY DELAYS

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi.  Eccl 3:1 TLB There is a right time for everything:   Eccl 3:11 NIV  “He has made everything beautiful in its time….”    There is an appropriate time for a child to start walking and another for eating solid meals. It is part of human design that at certain times a unique event is expected to manifest in our lives.       Desire is a confirmation of the existence of a thing , you cannot desire what does not exist , and with respect to the fulfillment of our heart’s desires we have a role to play just as a baby will need to make attempts at walking  before he or she can actually walk.  However, there are circumstances that could delay the process of the manifestation of a desired outcome in our lives. They are personal, environmental, physiological or medical and divine. Therefore, delays are either caused by us, God or other persons.        Whenever a delay is ca...

DO NOT BE STOPPED BY PAST FAILURES

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  Josh 7:3-5 TLB “ Upon their return they told Joshua, "It's a small city and it won't take more than two or three thousand of us to destroy it; there's no point in all of us going there."  So approximately three thousand soldiers were sent-and they were soundly defeated. Josh 8:1-2 “Then the Lord said to Joshua, "Don't be afraid or discouraged; take the entire army and go to Ai, for it is now yours to conquer. I have given the king of Ai and all of his people to you. You shall do to them as you did to Jericho and her king; but this time you may keep the loot and the cattle for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the city."          God gave Israel a second chance in their battle against the adversary after a humiliating defeat. They failed earlier because of insincerity. Integrity is the foundation upon which sustainable success and development is built . Many times we encounte...

TALISMAN, MYSTIC RINGS, CARDS ,BOOKS AND CHARMS ARE POWERLESS

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi      John 14:30 NKJV “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he  has nothing in Me. ”           In this scripture Jesus explains to His disciples that they would not be left comfortless. The statement ‘I will no longer talk much ‘was an assurance that even in the time of solitude and silence, they would not be left alone because the Holy Spirit shall remain with them throughout eternity. It is the consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives during those silent moments that gives us the much needed peace.             Peace is not necessarily the absence of problems but the ability to remain calm, stable and purposeful in the midst of problems . This is where a lot of believers miss it, they often pray that the lord put an end to their problems and it is more worrisome when a preacher declares that the lord will...

REBELLION HINDERS GRACE FOR PROSPERITY

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  Ps 68:18 KJV “Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them”    The above scripture says God loves rebels and has great plans for them.  Rebellion is resistance against divinely constituted authority. It is worthy of note that not all authority is divine .Any authority that seeks to suppress the truth of the gospel is not of God and should be resisted.  2 Cor 10:5 KJV  says “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”  therefore , we are not expected to be under an ungodly authority . It is possible to have a Christian governing authority that promotes ungodliness and a non-Christian authority that promotes godliness; godliness is not a function of religion but the huma...

THE BLESSING OF SERVING

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  Deut 18:1-8 TLB "Remember that the priests and all the other members of the Levite tribe will not be given property like the other tribes. So the priests and Levites are to be supported by the sacrifices brought to the altar of the Lord and by the other offerings the people bring to him….They don't need to own property, for the Lord is their property! That is what he promised them!  The shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach of every ox or sheep brought for sacrifice must be given to the priests.  In addition, the priests shall receive the harvest samples brought in thanksgiving to the Lord-the first of the grain, the new wine, the olive oil, and of the fleece at shearing time…. "Any Levite, no matter where he lives in the land of Israel, has the right to come to the sanctuary at any time and minister in the name of the Lord,… He shall be given his share of the sacrifices and offerings as his right, not just if he is in need. “ ...
