SAFETY IN THE GOD'S UNFAILING PROMISES

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi   Ps 91:4” He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Heb 11:33 NKJV    “who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions”     The bible is the inerrant word of God containing His promises to His children . The word of God is an expression of His divine nature .God is all powerful , trustworthy, loving and all-present . He is consistent with His Word.              The universe was created  by the Word of God , therefore , everything is subject to God’s Word . The word of God is truth and God is obligated to confirm His word whenever the Word of God is spoken in faith .     The scriptures says in Isa 55:10-12 TLB "As the rain and snow come down from heaven and stay upon the ground to water the earth, and cause t...

AWAKE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS AND RECEIVE PEACE AND SECURITY

Image
Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  Isa 32:17-18 KJV “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.  And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;” 1 Cor 15:34 AMP “ Awake [from your drunken stupor and return] to sober sense and your right minds, and sin no more. For some of you have not the knowledge of God [you are utterly and willfully and disgracefully ignorant, and continue to be so, lacking the sense of God's presence and all true knowledge of Him]…”          The righteousness of God is not devoid of common sense. God has given every one the intuitive ability to know right from wrong without being told, therefore, it is possible to live a life of peace, stability, quietness and assurance forever, these are the effect of practicing the righteousness by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Unrighteousness requires embr...

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS BEYOND RELIGIOUS DUTIES

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  Matt 5:20 KJV  “ For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”       Scribes (Greek  ‘grammateís’) which means "lawyers,"  where  those trained in the application of the Torah(Matt 22:35 , Mark 12:28 ) they are described as "teachers of the Law," In old testament times they took down prophet’s dictations (Jer 36:4,18) “The importance of scribes (in the basic sense of those trained to read and write) goes back to the first use of writing in the ancient centers of civilization, Babylon and Egypt. Clearly these skills automatically made the scribe both a necessary and an influential members of society. The ruling class depended on the scribes for a great variety of practical matters, and gradually scribes evolved from mere copiers and recorders to being members of the governmen...

OVERCOME THE FEAR OF DEATH

Image
By Pst . Michael Benson Ajayi     John 1:48-49 NKJV Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?"Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."  Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"          Nathaniel was known for his credibility and criticism therefore, his brother Phillip was confident that he was best positioned to authenticate the validity of Jesus ’  claim to divinity. Prior to his encounter with Jesus, he had been seating secretly under a tree. Jesus knew that in order to convince Nathaniel it has to be beyond reasonable doubt, this He did by revealing Nathaniel ’ s secrets.          The  ‘ presence ’  of God (His essence or tangible manifestation) has often been viewed as a temporal phenomenon.  The word  ‘ prese...

SEX AFFECTS YOUR SECURITY

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  Gen 6:4-5 KJV “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”      The bible exposition commentary describes the events of Genesis 5:28-6:8 in this light “ God saw the people of that day as "fallen ones," while men saw these people as mighty leaders. Even today, much of what is admired by the world is rejected by the Lord (Luke 16:15). When the Sethites compromised by mingling with the Cainites, they fell from God's blessing. God was grieved that they married godless Cainites, choosing wives as they pleased without considering God's will (Gen 6:2). In doing this, they endangered the fulfillment of the Gen....

POSITION YOURSELF TO RECEIVE A MIRACLE FROM GOD

Image
By Pst Michael Benson Ajayi     Mark 6:39-40 KJV   “ And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. ”         The supernatural multiplication of two pieces of fish and five loaves of bread to feed five thousand persons with twelve baskets full of leftover is one of the most extraordinary events of Jesus' ministry. Each miracle was a subliminal expression of the message of grace .         It was traditional for Jesus to teach lengthy sermons with  followers  cutting across the various strata of society; He had politicians, businessmen and women, children, technocrats, the clergy and laymen in attendance and on this occasion they were hungry and feeding became a problem.           The challenge before the disciples was not that of insu...

CRITICISM OPENS DOORS FOR EXCELLENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi Rom 15:14-16”. ..   So, my dear friends don't take my rather bold and blunt language as criticism. It's not criticism. I'm simply underlining how very much I need your help in carrying out this highly focused assignment God gave me,…”. Msg Bible         Criticism is the act of expressing disapproval and of noting the problems or faults of a person or thing (Merriam –Webstar Dictionary)              Nobody likes being told what they have invested time and resources in is not good enough. Prophet Job was a successful entrepreneur, preacher, husband and father;he suffered major losses because he could not stand being criticized Job 16:4 NLT “I could say the same things if you were in my place. I could spout off criticism and shake my head at you.” He preferred flattery even if he was heading in the wrong direction Job 16:5NLT...
