SELF-PRESERVATION IS DANGEROUS AND ANTI-FAITH
Luke 12:42 NLT” And the Lord replied, "A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them”.
Whenever the owner of an estate writes a will, an administrator is appointed to manage or distribute his wealth according to the owner’s desire, he cannot act outside the dictate of the will .
Traders in the money market have the liberty to trade which ever way they deem fit but remain accountable to the funds owners. Likewise an estate administrator is expected to be faithful as the scriptures says 1 Cor 4:2-3 NLT ”Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful
We are stewards of God’s resources ( talents, wealth, abilities, spiritual gifts) and He expects us to be accountable to Him . 1 Cor 4:1-2 “ ……. as mere servants of Christ who have been put in charge of explaining God's mysteries..” We cannot do as we please; therefore we are accountable to Him for the use and abuse of these gifts.

A funeral service is often a reminder that we came into this world with nothing and will definitely live with nothing and will give account to God for what we did on earth with His resources. This is revealed in the scripture on the man whose entire life was centered on self-preservation at the expense of a wholesome relationship with God in Luke 12:19-21 NLT he said “And I'll sit back and say to myself, "My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!"' "But God said to him, 'You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?' "Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God." How much of your wealth goes in to the spread of the gospel daily?
Whenever the purposeful use of a thing is not known, its abuse becomes eminent. The ignorance of the purpose of God for what has been given to us is the reason behind the chaos in the world. As you read this now receive wisdom and grace to properly manage the resources at your disposal to the glory of God.
