HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT ? (Part 2)

Acts 19:2. “He said unto them, have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.”
      The Holy Spirit is the most prominent personality to believers in the church- age unlike in the Old Testament where the Father was the most prominent . God introduced the concept of  sonship through Jesus Christ as a reflection of His desire for a family for which reason the Church was created .The church is a living mystical organism empowered by the Holy Spirit.
        He is the author of the scripture and the interpreter of God’s wisdom, the scriptures says in 1 Cor 2:9-10 NKJV But as it is written:".. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” He was behind the writing of the holy scriptures through holy men and women ( 2 Pet.1:20-21) KJV says “ ... holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” .
,   He was involved in the creation (Gen. 1:2) He is the creator of the energy that drives the universe and actively  involved in the day to day running of governments .He demonstrated this through God's servants ( Moses and the 70 elders, Num. 11:14-17, 25-29 ,Joseph, Gen 41:38-44,)
     He is involved in social reorientation ( Eze. 36:26-28), and endows men with extraordinary entrepreneurial skills  through capacity building(  Ex 31:2-5 )
        Jesus is the word of God that became human flesh through the conception of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 1:35), it is easy to understand this when one considers that the text from this message is a  tangible manifestation of the product of an invisible but very powerful micro processor expressing the thoughts of the writer .Jesus was an expression of the thoughts of the heavenly father  for mankind.  Jesus preached by the power of the Holy Spirit (lk4:18) worked miracles through Him and was raised from the dead through  the Holy Ghost (Rom. 8:11)
           The old testament prophet Joel foretold of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the church in the last days (Joel.2:28) He gives the church privileged information about God’s kingdom (John16 :13) and empowers the believer with their individual  mystically coded prayer language to  avoid interference from the enemy(. Acts2:4, Rom,8:26). He is the generator of the spontaneous Christian character needed to sustain relationships (Ga5:22-23). He is also the strength giver to do the extraordinary and our healer (Rom.8:11) and an ever ready source of peace in a chaotic world (Rom8:5-6)  It is through His guidance that we fulfill the demands of the laws of God (Rom.8:4) and He is easily accessible to all who seek Him in faith. Luke 11:13 NIV says” If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"  Ask the lord in faith to fill your heart with His Holy Spirit  every day.. 
    As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and saviour and read this now, receive power for the miraculous through the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy.
