HOT TEMPERED FRIENDS HINDER BREAKTHROUGHS

Man is social in nature and loves to move in groups, this gives a sense of self-worth, love and security. It is for these reasons that friendship is a necessary part of our human development, and if well harnessed, it could lead to the furtherance of the building of human and social capacity.
Friends play a major role in our spiritual development and can be a ready source of inspiration .A person's spiritual state can easily be measured through the spiritual temperature of one's closest friends, for example, persons who find it hard to forgive and are afraid of giving offerings and the Abrahamic tithes are most likely to have close friends who do likewise .
The impact of friends on one's life is the same as that of the chain link of a bicycle chain, therefore, a person could be said to be as strong as the weakest member of one's cycle of close friends . Through friends we receive wisdom and strength. The scriptures says in Proverbs 13: 20 "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."It is for this reason that we are admonished to stay away from the unwise. Proverbs 14:7 says " Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. "
The lack of wisdom is the reason behind loneliness: a time when a friend is most needed. The lack of wisdom leads to frustrations and anger. Most hot-tempered persons lack the relevant information needed to navigate through the channels of life, hence their aggressive tendencies. Unfortunately, such friends fail to understand that true friendship entails, being hurt momentarily for our collective good. The scriptures says in Proverbs 25:11-12 "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear." A true and loving spouse or friend is a person who is not afraid to rebuke you whenever you are in error. They are better placed to tell us the truth about ourselves. We should not trivialize their counsels especially when they have scripturally backing.
Sometimes, the rebuke from a friend is like a wound (Prov.27:6) and it is characteristic of godly friends, that's why whatever we hide from a godly friend is most likely to be in error and we eventually live to regret it: especially spiritual, emotional and financial issues. The scriptures says in Proverbs 27:9 "Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel." godly friends help put finishing touches to great plans, and Proverbs 27:17" Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend".
Hot-tempered friends do the very opposite, they serve as a smoke screen to one's destiny.It is hard to make wise decisions while in the company of a hot-tempered friend. Anger is contagious and leads to failure in marriages, businesses, ministry, government, relationships. The scriptures says in Ecclesiastes 7:9" Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools." and also Proverbs 14:17 says "He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated." anger leads to a person making unwise decisions and hinders marriages, businesses, ministries from attaining their full potentials .We overcome anger by the Holy Ghost. He gives us self-control . Anger drives suitors away, therefore, a person desiring to get married must spend less time with hot-tempered friends to avoid being under satanic bondage .The scriptures says in Proverbs 22:24 -25"Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul."
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you, I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and grace for uncommon peace and emotional stability in Jesus name.
