LOVE OF MONEY AND THE ANOINTING

Acts 8:18 -23" And when Simon saw  that through laying on of the apostles’  hands the Holy Ghost was given, he  offered them money,  Saying, Give  me also this power, that on  whomsoever I lay hands, he may  receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter  said unto him, Thy money perish with  thee, because thou hast thought that  the gift of God may be purchased with  money. Thou hast neither part nor  lot in this matter: for thy heart is not  right in the sight of God.  Repent  therefore of this thy wickedness, and  pray God, if perhaps the thought of  thine heart may be forgiven thee.   For I perceive that thou art in the gall of  bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. "  
  Verse 8 describes Simon in this light  " But there was a certain  man, called Simon, which beforetime in  the same city used sorcery, and  bewitched the people of Samaria,  giving out that himself was some great  one:" 
   The theology that says you can obtain power for success  by giving money to a preacher is an abomination against God . It was what Simon attempted doing . He was a lover of money and had used a seducing spirit to attain fame and wealth in the city of Samaria as a magician before becoming a christian and thought the same applied in the church of Christ .
   There are young preacher who out of a desire to get rich quick and be famous have ensnared their souls with seducing spirits who promise them fame and fortune if they keep paying certain amounts of money to their benefactors .
    In the last days many persons will be caught in falsehood. The Bible says false preachers with mislead many with false miracles (see 2Theselonians 2;9) , The born again believer is not moved by tales of miracles in a ministry but seeks for the fruit of the Holy spirit ( Galatians 5:22) in the lives of the parishioners. Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them (;Matthew 7;16).
  These are the attributes of the lover of money. " When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. "Galatians 5:19-21
 Instead of saying "I shall begin to serve God when I have money" like money lovers say  , we should like king David in psalm 36 in our daily prayers as the lord to "Give me an eagerness for your laws   rather than a love for money! " Psalms 119:36
Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and ask to be filled with your Holy Spirit and power for extraordinary financial breakthroughs .

On investigation it was discovered the church suffered from a vicious cycle of evil family  patterns. They were not enjoying the fruits of the salvation experience . An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). His son Amnon defiled his sister Tamar (2Sam.13) and so on yet David was the anointed of the Lord....

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma.
