LOVE TAKES NO SIDES

"Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. " 1 Corinthians 9:19
        The born again christian is different from the religious Christian . The born again christian is driven by the passion to see people  receive Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour . This only happens when they are alive Hebrews 9:27 says "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:' We preach to living souls not dead persons. The preaching of the gospel is a calling to every born again Christian. (Mark16:15, John 15:16)  .This is facilitated by an atmosphere of peace .

   The Bible says in  James 3:18 'And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." The fruit of righteousness refers to soul's being saved . There are missionaries presently in conflict zones such such as Russia and Ukraine and parts of the middle east whose work are being hampered by the war in these nations . Evangelism is best achieved in an atmosphere of peace .

People tend to hate God during war than during peace time ,  they attribute their sufferings to him. The born again christian is called to the ministry of reconciliation ( 2Cor. 5:18-19) . We seek for mutual coexistence and respect for each  person's  rights to existence using diplomatic tools as against confrontational tools often used by religious Christians for which reason the church is evil spoken of.

  The bible says in Matthew 5:9 ' Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. " Born again Christians are peacemakers because they know that an injury to one is injury to all and there is never a winner in any battle between the body of Christians .

   We pray and pursue peace not war through justice and fairness. The bible says Romans 14: 19" Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another."

  Therefore, we do not take sides with conflicting parties knowing that the name of Jesus Christ is being ridiculed anytime two Christians fight each other . 

   Quarrels promote sin across the globe . Peace promotes righteousness . Human anger is a hindrance to the prosperity of the church. Poverty is more common among promoters of hate "  James1;20 "For  the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness  of God."

   Look at the level of poverty in Africa , a continent with so much resources but the highest level of conflicts in the world .

  Hatred results in spiritual blindness and gives Satan the advantage to kill , steal and destroy God's people . 

 We should daily ask the lord to teach us how to coexist with people of different background and ideologies. We should promote tolerance ,the bible says " And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I  might gain the Jews; to them that are under the  law, as under the law, that I might gain them that  are under the law;  To them that are without  law, as without law, (being not without law to  God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might  gain them that are without law.  To the weak  became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I  am made all things to all men, that I might by all  means save some." 1Cor.9:19-22.

  We should also teach perseverance ' Matthew 5:39 But I say  unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever  shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him  the other also. 

 Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive him as lord and saviour and  receive power to be a peacemaker in Jesus name.

An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy.
