THE SEVEN PILLARS OF FAITH AND RECIPE FOR FRUITFULNESS.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
John 15:5 KJV “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
God wants us to live a fruitful life, it is not His will for anyone to be barren or suffer loss therefore no form of lack of fruitfulness should be attributed to Him. God’s word gives us the key to fruitfulness: like tree branches ,we have been en-grafted into Christ who is the source of life from where we draw virtue and nutrients by faith. If the tree (Christ) cannot be barren then the branches cannot be unfruitful.
The word  ‘abideth’ is the Greek word ‘meno’ which means to stay in a given place or state in expectancy .This is faith in action:it is the total reliance on God. It is a demonstration of our loyalty to Him and an acknowledgment of His trustworthiness.  This is our title- deed to whatever we desire of Him.
Jesus always attributed miraculous occurrences to the faith of the recipient (Mt.9:29,Mk 5:34,lk8:48)and like the 30,000 components that work together in harmony in  the movement of a modern vehicle , there are seven fundamental spiritual principles or pillars needed to guarantee a  fruitful  adventure in faith.
The scriptures highlights this in  2 Peter 1:5-8 AMP “Employ  every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence),  And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety),  And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.  For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”  It is the lack of these qualities and not juju (charm) that leads to a person not be fruitful. Unfortunately, most Christians instead settling down to develop these qualities have preoccupied themselves with dead works. This is the reason behind the confusion among believers.
The faith that guarantees fruitfulness and peace ,demands virtue, knowledge, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly  affection and Christian love. Possessing these qualities is what Jesus Christ describes as ‘abiding in Him’ and they guarantee a person’s fruitfulness. As you read this now receive grace to destroy unfruitfulness in your life in Jesus name.
