YOUR INDISPENSABLE COMPANION :THE HOLY SPIRIT (THE ANOINTER AND ANOINTING)

Luke 11:13 KJV ".... how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
 The Holy Spirit is probably the least recognized in the Godhead ; he is the most misrepresented and thus misunderstood in the studies of divinity
             We are three-in-one by nature: Spirit, Soul, Body (1Thess5:23) that's why we can engage in a logical conversation with our subconscious.Likewise , God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and  functions as one person simply known as the Godhead. The divinity is a mystery 
              So there are three witnesses in heaven the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, “and these three are one.” (1John 5:7 Amp). An attempt to describe divinity based on functionality is analogous of water which also exists as steam and ice: different physical properties but the same chemical composition. If we can believe this we should be able to believe God as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
       The bible calls the Holy Spirit God : “why had Satan filled thy heart to lie to the holy spirit?..... thy hast not lied unto men but unto God”(Acts 5:3-4) and possesses the characteristic that God alone has.
He has an eternal nature : “...Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleansed our consciences..” (Heb. 9:14.)
He is All- Present : Capable of being everywhere at one time (like a mobile telephone network doing so many things such as sending and receiving calls, emails, fax, pictures etc in different places at the same time and yet invisible but tangible and if you have the right sensing devices you can detect it and so likewise if your spiritually insensitive, you cannot sense the activities of the holy spirit .) King David said “Where can I go from your spirit? Why can I go from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there: if I make my bed in the depths, you are there if I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” Ps. 139:7-10.He is not a human being living among  us neither does he reside in a geographical location (Mark 13:21-22,John 4:21-23).
He is All- Knowing : He knows all things (Good, Bad, Ugly) but God has revealed it to us by his spirit. The Spirit searches all things even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thought of man except the man’s spirit within him?...". 1 Cor 2:`10-11 NIV.
He is All-Powerful : He can do anything .He is giving you understanding as you read this now.  He made a virgin get pregnant without having sexual relations with a man .." And the angel answered the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will over-shadow you”. Luke 1:31-35. NIV. He is both the anointer and the anointing . He is the Comforter (John 14 :16), Helper  (Romans 8 : 26)  Intercessor (Romans 8: 26 ),  Advocate ( Mark 13 :11),  Counselor (John 14: 26) and Strength giver ( Romans 8: 11 , Judges 16:1-40)  We receive miracle working power when we receive the Holy Ghost into our hearts Acts 1:8 and with Him there is no limit to what we can achieve.

An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). His son Amnon defiled his sister Tamar (2Sam.13) and so on yet David was the anointed of the Lord....

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma.
