THE ANOINTING CANNOT BE ACQUIRED NOR TRANSFERRED FROM PERSON TO PERSON

Acts 8:20 KJV “ But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.”

     It is common practice among magicians and mystics or mediums to seek help from each other in other to achieve a goal . A medium is a person who serves as a go- between for those seeking information from the spirit-world. They are also known as magicians

         “ In its modern accepted sense magic may be described as the art of bringing about results beyond man's own power by superhuman agencies. In the wide sense of this definition divination is only a species of magic, i.e. magic used as a means of securing secret knowledge, especially a knowledge of the future. Divination and magic bear a similar relation to prophecy and miracle respectively, the first and third implying special knowledge, the second and fourth special power. But divination has to do generally with omens ..” (from International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia}  . Based on this definition some of the persons we often refer to as prophets are actually magicians . They are characterized by four major attributes ,(1) intimidation ,2) oppression,3) manipulation ,4) dominion .

     A person could be initiated into a magic cult knowingly  (1Sam 28:79)or unknowingly as in the case of Zedekiah and his four hundred prophets who were possessed by a lying spirit without knowing (1 king 22:20-22) these had started well but soon became obsessed with fame and the love for money. Under such a condition a person becomes a tool in the hands of Satan . Another example is the case of the prophetess in (Acts 16:16_18). This girl spoke the truth about Paul’s mission but was under the influence of an evil spirit. A common denominator in all magicians is their love for money, power and fame. They are often found around celebrities , businessmen , politicians or anyone with an indication of the availability of money.

       It was no wonder that Simon the magician turned evangelist haven seen the miracles done by the disciples thought he could purchase the anointing: he observed the process of laying on of hands; also adopted by magicians in the transference of demon spirits.  We should be cautious about who lays hands upon us . The scriptures warn about this (1Tim5:22).

   Simon was rebuked for thinking he could buy the anointing. There are preachers who boast about how much money they gave to someone to attain a particular level of success in ministry .This portrays the Holy Ghost (God) as being for sale and transferable from  person to person. God is all-powerful  and all-present, He does not move from say point ‘A’ to point ‘B’ but He can move an  infinite number of things at the same time. Therefore, the anointing did not come out of the preacher like a magic genie into you when hands where laid on you rather, when we submit ourselves to divine authority as is upon an ordained preacher and  demonstrate this by kneeling to allow them lay hands upon us , we are given a supernatural consciousness of the Holy Ghost who has  been there all along   Obedience is the key to effectively functioning under the influence of the Holy Ghost .As you make Jesus Christ the lord of your life and read this now, receive grace to overturn every evil prophetic utterance against you.  Free prayer/counseling +2348035536911,+2348035536911, email:michaelbensonajayi@gmail.com
