DEALING WITH SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES ( Part 1 )

Col 1:16 KJV “ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
Eph 6:12 KJV “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
The bible teaches that the believer in Jesus Christ is engaged in a spiritual warfare , first there is the battle for the control of our mind through spiritual arrows (thoughts ) that are shot at us on a daily basis , these arrows fly in the day ( when we are conscious ) and at night ( when we are not conscious , sometimes they come in the form of dreams and nightmares) . The scriptures says in Psalm Ps 91:5 AMP “ You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day. “ logically speaking ,arrows do not only fly in the day time nor does terror occur only at night . So this scripture could not be referring to physical arrows and terrorists but words from the enemy intended to make us lose faith in the word of God. These words are usually from sources of high authority (leaders)
When we speak of spiritual authority, none is higher than that occupied by the believer in Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ is the head of all principalities He created them therefore He can not be dominated by them and has given the church the power of attorney to act in his stead on earth Ephesians 3:9-15. Verse 15 says Eph 3:15 KJV “of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, “ the word named is the Greek word ‘onomazo’ it means to assign an appellation , profess by extension it means to have God’s authority assigned to the name of a person just as members of the British Royal family are accorded the same reverence as that of the queen of England likewise the believer in Christ is far above Satan in rank , therefore , we should confront him with confidence because we have God's backing in Jesus Christ “… we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him” Eph 3:12 KJV . We have access to God’s provisions and no principality can stop us. We have the backing of the principalities in heavenly places -, angels and the host of witnesses mentioned in Hebrews 12:22 .
Satan and his demons are not the principalities in heavenly places, he was displaced from heaven with a third of the rebel angels. The word principalities ( Greek : ‘arche ‘ it means magistrate, ruler, chief ) in high places are individuals in exalted positions of political office, the civil service, religious leaders , educationists, media mogul and the business world who are under the influence of Satan to frustrate God’s people through bribery and corruption. Satan has persons in the judiciary and other places of influences where decisions are made to frustrate God’s plan for His church . An example is the case of the prince of Persia who resisted God’s messenger from delivering a message to Daniel. The messenger is described as a man with an angelic appearance (Dan.10:4-12 ) a similar description was given of God’s messenger -Stephen (Act 6:15) who was frustrated by the magistrates of his time and eventually murdered.
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as lord savior and receive grace to overturn every preparation of the evil one against me in Jesus name.
