HATRED IS WITCHCRAFT

1John 3:15 "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."
The English dictionary defines hatred as extreme dislike. The message of the gospel is centred on God's love for humanity. Though human beings are bitter towards God for some of the unpleasant experiences that he allows us to go through.The common thinking is that an all- powerful ,loving , benevolent and all -knowing God should come to our rescue regardless of whatever steps that we might have taken or someone took on our behalf that led to whatever crisis we are faced with.
If God were to prevent the consequences of every action from manifesting then he will be acting contrary to his office as a judge. Every misfortune on earth is as a result of human rebellion against God’s will. Some of the consequences of our actions affects the innocent including unborn children. God has given us wisdom to know good and bad and yet many choose bad and expect a good result. Children suffer because of the wrong actions taken by their parents.These actions are either environmental such as exposure to excessive radiation , biological as in the case of sickle cell,chemical , emotional and dietary etc. Likewise, parents suffer because of the wrong actions taken by the children. Despite this, God in His mercy seeks for ways to correct our errors. He is not to be blamed for our failures. The scriptures says in Proverbs 19:3 NLT "People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the lord ." We never consider all the variables before making decisions , that's why we are admonished to seek counsel from God's word before taking sensitive actions( Matthew 6:33).If it was revealed to us convincingly that a plane will fall of the sky killing all its passengers, most person will pray and still board the plane expecting a miracle. But this runs contrary to God's will (Acts 27) . It is this misappropriation of the grace of God that leads to many Christians being bitter. Bitterness exposes us to danger, hatred removes us from God's protective cover. This cover is usually in the form of loving parents, friends,neighbours etc.
A lot of preachers encourage hatred through the doctrine of" witches and wizards " this has led to devastating effects in many families and communities like in Akwa ibom state in Nigeria were children as young as two are abandoned to die haven been labelled as witches. This runs contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.Hating a person because they've been labelled a witch, puts one in the same category of the children of darkness. The scriptures says in 1John 2:9-11 that he or she who hates is living in darkness. By this scripture, he or she who claims to be a Christian but hates a person who has been labelled a witch, the hater is equally a witch. The hater is described in 1John 3:11-20 as a murderer.Witches devour their victims so do those who hate (Gal.5:15)The church in Galatia is proof that Christians could be witches (Gal.3:1) ,they were neck-deep in hatred.
We are admonished not to hate our enemies but pray for them because they are living in ignorance (Matthew 5:43-48). They claim to know what they are doing but in reality they are ignorant like the soldiers who nailed Christ on the cross. Haters do not really know their victims, if they did they wouldn't hate but love them. We are all inter-connected by culture, bloodlines, history and politics therefore hating one is hating oneself.
If we claim to love God but hate our brother, we lie against the truth.(1John 4:20-21) to conceal hatred in one's heart and yet call oneself a christian is hypocrisy( Prov.10:18), a born again child of God cannot harbour hatred . This is one of the proof that a person is saved . Hatred leads to divisions and a weakening of the church (prov.10:12) , that's why Satan loves haters and wouldn’t let them go (2Tim2:26)
Christians who live in hatred are fraudsters and cannot keep a relationship, such Christians sound very charming and look cute but soon fill the congregation of believers with wickedness ( Prov.26:24-26) Bitterness or hatred is Satanic (Gal.5 :19) and has its origin from a past hurt that must be destroyed if we must make progress in life (Heb.12:15)Hatred is forbidden in the church of Christ (Lev.19:16-17) Hatred is a hindrance to breakthroughs and makes it difficult for us to receive true help .Hatred makes us vulnerable to fraudulent lovers. It is only through the power of the Holy Ghost that we can overcome hatred. Hatred is demonic and should be cast out ( Ephesians 4:31-32) A simple prayer could be "Heavenly father, I stand in the authority given to me by Jesus Christ to decree that every evil influence of hatred over my life be broken and I cast out the evil spirit of bitterness from my house,marriage , office,church in Jesus name. I receive your love for humanity including those who might have hurt me may they come to the place of realization of the truth of the gospel and be saved in Jesus name.
