SEEK REVELATION INSTEAD OF MANIFESTATION

Matt 24:24 “for there shall arise false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect”.
This prophesy by Jesus Christ about the events that shall take place prior to His second coming is being fulfilled as evident in the proliferation of miracle centers the world over. These centers have become a source of remediation to persons in desperate need of help.This is very common in third world nations were basic social amenities are lacking due to bad governance thus making citizens easy prey to workers of evil and magic.
Divination is the art of foretelling the future through supernatural means ,diviners are also able to tell the past. This is made possible by persons who allow themselves to be possessed by demons. These demon spirits have been on planet earth for thousands of years and have records of past events about a person's family, community and are able to tell the future . Demons influence people's actions and entire communities have been known to be under the influence of mystics working in tandem with demons. Therefore, they could foretell future events because they influence people's circumstances that lead to predictable outcomes. They are spirits therefore they are able to recognize other spirits including messengers of God (Acts16:16-19).
Heathen nations have diviners, magicians and practice spiritism (interaction with spirits.) The Philistines had diviners (1samuel. 6:2) so did the king of Babylon , he used divination in decision making. (Eze. 21:21-23) Demons have the ability to move objects and can possess an animal and re-orientate the internal organs of an animal. Mystics were able to decode what these spirits say by the arrangements of the organs of a slaughtered animal possessed by a demon. These spirits were created by God and have extraordinary abilities one of which is to masquerade themselves as the Ghost of a dead person well known to them. They can also impersonate preachers as in the case of the girl with a spirit of divination in Acts 16:16 who contacts could be taken for a modern prophetess. Students of mysticism must have magical books containing recipes needed for acts of sorcery. As long as a repented magician has these books in his or her possession, there would always be the temptation to use them that's why they were burnt by the disciples in Ephesus (Acts 19:17-20). Unfortunately, many professing Christians have such books in their possession. These books open the door to demonic activities and they are a hindrance to prayers.
Divination is forbidden by God, they include all forms of magic Deut. 18: 10 -12"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. "
The practice of witchcraft, spiritism brings God's judgment upon a community leading to its eventual destruction (Mic. 5:12). God hates all forms of idolatry ,witchcraft, wizardry is evil in God’s sight . (2 King 17:17)
Evil workers, fortune- tellers, magicians use their art to mislead many from the truth of the gospel and can perform miraculous signs in order to win the attention of many (Rev. 16:14,Mtt. 24:24,Rev.13:13,16:13-14) this shall be popular in the last days and because of the similarity in their manifestations, many Christians will be mislead. For example, Pharaoh’s magician could replicate some of Moses' miracles( Ex. 7:11)therefore miracles are insufficient as a foundation of one's belief in God. In another instance ,Saul who was a serving king in Israel consulted a medium who raised the image of prophet Samuel , this is one of the most estrordinary demonstration of the art of witchcraft (1 Sam 28:7-9) many may argue if the image was truly that of the prophet? This is a typical case of God’s sovereignty just as he spoke to prophet Balaam through a beast . God can speak through satan if He so wishes, that doesn't mean that He approves of Satan. That's what happened in the case of the evangelical sorcerer in (Acts 16:16) also Simon the sorcerer (Acts 8:9-11)
The born again christian is more powerful than all the witches and wizards all put together because we have Jesus Christ who is the head of all principalities including witches and wizards living in us. Jesus is the supreme leader of all spiritual forces, he created them, the scriptures says in col.1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" it is with this understanding that Bar-Jesus or Elymas the sorcerer was defeated by Paul in Acts 13:6-12. Greater is the power of Christ in you than all wizards,witches,sorcerers,magicians ,false prophets and prophetesses in the world (1Jn4:4).
