GOD WON'T DEMAND A 'MIRACLE -SEED' FROM YOU; IT'S BY GRACE (PART 2)
By Rev,Michael Benson Ajayi
John 1:12 AMP “But to
as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege,
right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere
to, trust in, and rely on) His name “
The born again
Christian has all the blessings of Jesus Christ dwelling in his or her spirit (center
of consciousness) and nothing can be added to what God has already blessed us
with. 2 Peter3: 1 says we have been given everything needed to live a fulfilled life and this is achieved through the knowledge of who we are in Christ.Note the tense
of the word ‘given’ used in that scripture; it is not futuristic but in the
now and present continuous..
Therefore, if we
have been given all blessings , which other blessing are we seeking for? The
word blessing in (Eph1:3) is better appreciated from its meaning ,its the Greek word ‘eulogia’ which means : fine speaking, commendation
, adoration; benediction; by implication, consecration; by extension benefit or
largess. The born again Christian is consecrated and adorable before God and a
benefactor of all that belongs to God , therefore, we are not trying to be holy and acceptable before God , we already are.
Therefore , you
must not follow a particular religious leader (so-called Fathers or Mothers of
Faith) in other to be blessed as seen in many churches today , this exposes us
to exploitation and leads to pride. Jesus paid for every miracle you would ever
need :they are yours right now, you must not give a ‘miracle seed ‘ to
anyone to receive your pregnancy, job,
finances etc. We are warned against
seeking for blessings like the old testament folks did in their ignorance. 1
Cor 3:21-23 NLT says “So don't boast about following a particular human leader.
For everything belongs to you, the world, or life and death, or the present and
the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs
to God."
Some persons have
exalted their pastors, bishops , prophets above God’s word and believe that
until they are prayed for by these human idols ,they can’t be blessed when all
that is needed is faith in God’s word. They are told to ‘sow a seed’ in other
to receive a miracle meanwhile , when the bible speaks of ‘seed’ it is referring to receiving the word of God
into your heart .Luke 8:11 says that ‘the seed is The Word of God’. Therefore ,
if you are looking for a miracle , seek to know what God's word says about the situation
and meditating long enough until there is peace in your heart and your miracle
will come to pass.
Reference is often made to Isaac sowing seed
in Gen . 26: In this case, it was a literal seed like corn , millet, wheat , based on the
seed of God’s word received by revelation. He did not give money or some landed
property to a prophet as often misinterpreted . Another , reference often
used is that of Isaac instructing his son Esau to give him a particular meal in
other to receive a blessing Gen 27:25 KJV
“And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my
soul may bless thee.” The phrase ‘may bless thee’ is the Hebrew word ‘barak’ it means to kneel; by implication to
bless God (as an act of adoration), and (vice-versa) man (as a benefit); it
also means to curse as the consequence of treason.
This event took
place before the Old Testament's law, there was no written word of God , therefore
, God’s promises where transferred from
parents to children and an aging , ailing Isaac wanted to be in a good health to pass this
information to Esau as it was passed unto him by his father Abraham. New Testament believers are blessed with the blessing of Abraham
through faith in Jesus Christ (Gal3:13-14)and we have the word of God engraved
in our hearts and we have the bible , therefore, due diligence( through in-dept research of scriptures) should be made to know our rights and privileges and walk in them by faith,
God is against the
theology of ‘seed sowing’ being preferred over character development. A Godly character
of love and selflessness is to be preferred
above offerings (Eccl5:1) ,obedience is
better than sacrifice (1 sam.15:22) for all things are possible to those who believe .We should pray against anxiety to avoid falling into the enemy's trap remembering there are persons who have received greater breakthroughs than what we desire of the lord by simply putting their trust in the lord.
As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and savior and read this
now, receive grace and wisdom for extraordinary progress in Jesus name.
