Mark 11:22-23 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. NIV

To better understand what it means to believe ; imagine meeting a friend who is a lion trainer for a circus and he invites you to join him to feed three fully grown lions in a cage with a promise that you would not be mauled by the beasts . If you believe him, you will gladly join him in the lions cage. The same is with God, if you are not willing to put your life on the line for Him, then you do not truly believe in God. To doubt God is equal to saying He is untrustworthy: a liar

. We are enjoined to have faith and not doubt. Every believer has faith (Rom 12.3), but most believers also have an abundance of doubt that negates their faith. Doubt is like turning off a car’s ignition and wondering why the car isn't moving. Faith is the opposite. The power of God dwells in the spirit of the child of God just like the power in a vehicle's engine and until one has faith enough to turn the ignition on, that power will be useless

God's people are in a lifetime battle with Satan and his kingdom and there are no vacations or neutral grounds" Our enemy goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Pet. 5:8). Those who resist the devil will see him flee (Jas. 4:7). The only ones whom he devours are those who don't actively fight against him.

The mind is the battleground where ideas that are contrary to God's Word, need to be subjugated and brought under Christ, our supreme leader. Just as enemy soldiers are captured in war, contrary thoughts must be taken captive and made to submit to Christ. Our battle against Satan takes place in our subconscious. The spiritual weapons given to us are designed for the express purpose of taking all thoughts captive and making them obedient to Christ while we keep our minds completely rested upon the Lord.

These weapons of ours are for the dismantling of satanic Imaginations; and every exalted entity that has taken the place of the knowledge of God in our lives. This is achieved by deliberately focusing our minds on present and past victories in our lives because failure to do so leads to overwhelming care and anxiety. By acknowledging God’s involvement even in the smallest event will cause peace and keep our hearts and minds in tune with the lord leading to victorious faith for extraordinary breakthroughs (Philemon1.6).

BREAK EVIL FAMILY PATTERNS

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Titus 1:12 -14 "One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." The church in Crete was in disarray and the apostle assigned Titus to go and put things in order . On investigation it was discovered the church suffered from a vicious cycle of evil family patterns. They were not enjoying the fruits of the salvation experience . An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). His son Amnon defiled his sister Tamar (2Sam.13) and so on yet David was the anointed of the Lord....

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin. The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God.
