SO TWO GOOD THINGS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR GIFTS

Acts 9:36-41 TLB “ In the city of Joppa there was a woman named Dorcas ("Gazelle"), a believer who was always doing kind things for others, especially for the poor.  About this time she became ill and died. Her friends prepared her for burial and laid her in an upstairs room.  But when they learned that Peter was nearby at Lydda, they sent two men to beg him to return with them to Joppa.  This he did; as soon as he arrived, they took him upstairs where Dorcas lay. The room was filled with weeping widows who were showing one another the coats and other garments Dorcas had made for them. But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, "Get up, Dorcas," and she opened her eyes! And when she saw Peter, she sat up!
          The bible defines  true Christian religion in James 1:27 “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” The word ‘religion’ is the Greek word  ‘Threskeia ‘ which means:  ceremonial observance or worship.  In the light of scriptures, religion as practiced by the world  is totally at variance with  the bible . The bible definition of religion places emphasis on human resource and capital building through skill acquisition and economic empowerment and an uncompromising stand against corruption, while the world’s promotes laziness, idleness ,corruption and celebrates avarice, pride ,hatred ,covetousness as a virtues .This is the reason behind the ever increasing levels of  poverty and insecurity in our communities .   Dorcas practiced true religion and lived her life for the love of God and humanity ,she became overwhelmed by the demands of life ;fell ill and eventually kicked the bucket. At that point it seemed her condition was hopeless but her offerings to widows and ministers of the gospel began to speak for her through the voices of the beneficiaries of her largess. God's messenger was sent to arrest the situation and  through cooperate prayers  she was restored back to life .
             Ceremonial offerings and tithes promote love and faith creating the perfect environment in our hearts for the miraculous to take place. 2 Cor 9:12-14 TLB says “ So two  good things happen as a result of your gifts-those in need are helped, and they overflow with thanks to God. Those you help will be glad not only because of your generous gifts to themselves and to others, but they will praise God for this proof that your deeds are as good as your doctrine.  And they will pray for you with deep fervor and feeling because of the wonderful grace of God shown through you. “  Your present position in life is a function of persons giving thanks to God on your behalf, praying fervently for your prosperity on a daily basis. This is the effect of your ceremonial offerings and tithes. There are persons that have commanded by heaven to keep praying for you; Isaiah 62:6-7NLT say “I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work” As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and savior and read this now receive grace for the completion of your projects in Jesus name.

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma.
