THE QUICKEST WAY TO EXPERIENCE TRUE DELIVERANCE
Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi
2 Kings 5:10Mssg “Elisha sent out a servant to meet
him with this message: "Go to the River Jordan and immerse yourself seven
times. Your skin will be healed and you'll be as good as new."
Victory comes with a price and Jesus Christ paid
the price for every miracle we would ever need through His sacrifice on the
cross. However, the process of receiving a miracle from God is where many have
missed out on . God is not in the process of
giving us the things we need for a prosperous life on earth but rather the
scripture says He has already given us all that we need for life and godliness.
However, there is a condition to receiving these provisions that we often
overlook and miss out on our blessings.
The
scriptures says in 2 Peter 1:3 that God
has already given us the marriage, business, children, healing, peace,
promotion, finances etc we seek for and
they are received through the knowledge of Christ; meaning that through a
personal intimate relationship with Christ we receive the requisite information
needed to bring miracles into physical
manifestation.
The process of receiving this
information from Him is known as humility. If you deposit money in a bank and
was issued an ATM card for withdrawal of the cash, you must humble yourself to
receive the necessary information from the bank officer in order to operate the
ATM machine using the ATM card or else you can’t make withdrawals .
Every spiritual transaction has its
unique test for humility. If God gives us our hearts desires without humility,
they will end up being used for destructive purposes. Humility teaches that
miracles are given to us to expand the kingdom of God on earth it also teaches
that we don’t give God or
His servants instructions on how to
solve our problems (Isaiah40:14). Preachers who allow themselves to be enticed by
Greek gifts find it hard to enforce this rule. Elijah couldn’t
In 2 kings 5:1-10 Naaman, an
accomplished, army General with leprosy was tested on humility in three ways, firstly,
he was instructed by a maid to see God’s messenger; which was quite condescending for a man
of his status (Verse 3), secondly, he was taught that he couldn’t buy salvation and a healthy relationship with
God (verse 16). God prefers humility to the offerings from men, He declares in
Ps 51:17 AMP . “My sacrifice
[the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite
heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent],
such, O God, You will not despise”.
Very often we miss out on our breakthroughs
because we seek to impress our peers instead of God (John 5:44); such a behavior hinders
faith for the miraculous. God would often tell us to do something that wouldn’t impress our friends as a test of
our loyalty to Him. He wants to know where your allegiance lies; Him or your
friends. This was what informed Naaman’s third test which involved taking a bath in a river
where animals often bathed and drank from (2kings5:10-12).
The gravity of the test given to a person is
determined by our level of pride which is an inhibitor to faith growth. In
Matthew 15:21-27 Jesus tested a woman by likening her to a dog seeking to
partake of food meant for the master’s children. The fact that she wasn’t offended her ability to understand
that healing was by grace through faith which works with humility brought about
the instant deliverance of her daughter from demonic oppression.
God should always have the preeminence
in our decision making processes and our allegiance should always be to Him
regardless of the circumstance. This is the key to experiencing the power of
God in our lives. As you receive Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and read this now , receive uncommon faith for extraordinary breakthrough in Jesus name.
