THE EASY WAY OUT
Prov 6:9-11 TLB “But
you-all you do is sleep. When will you wake up? "Let me sleep a little
longer!" Sure, just a little more! And as you sleep, poverty creeps upon you like
a robber and destroys you; want attacks you in full armor.”
The easy way out
is born out of a reluctance to work or exert oneself in any way, it is a
habitual inactivity while hoping to achieve one’s dreams and aspirations. Marketing institutions have capitalized on
this growing trend to sell the idea that a person can stay at home and do
nothing and yet become stupendously rich through a pyramid scheme that requires
a network of individuals being compensated with cash rewards for participating
in the scheme. These financials schemes usually come with no securities because
they are devoid of the three major ingredients that constitute a viable
business namely: 1)a market, 2)a tangible accessible, verifiable product and 3)an engaging developing labour force .
The richest
persons in the world operate by these three ingredients and none
will be willing to get involved in any of such financial schemes because of the
inevitable law of diminishing returns : at a giving point ,they soon reach an optimum
point where inflow equals outflow and then the inescapable diminishing returns
( cash outflow becomes more than inflow).
God does not want
his people caught up in the world’s failing system .This system thrives on the
promotion of laziness and encourages wastage like the case of the prodigal son
who went on a spending spree oblivious of the law of diminishing returns(Luke15:13,14).
He was obviously driven by the maxim “money is for spending “ as often used by
leaders of underdeveloped nations ;this is contrary to God’s principle which
opines : money is for investing and the profit from such investments for
spending .
The lazy man lacks
a proper investment spirit and encourages wastage through improper risk assessment
, Prov 12:27 TLB says ‘A lazy man won't even dress the game he gets while
hunting, but the diligent man makes good use of everything he finds.’ This reputation
results in the loss of investors’ confidence and dissociation by would-be helpers.
Prov 25:19 TLB “Putting confidence in an unreliable man is like chewing with a
sore tooth, or trying to run on a broken foot.” Investors seek for men and women who talk less
and are result oriented.
The lazy
fellow is always full of idle talk, Prov 14:23 TLB says “Work brings profit;
talk brings poverty! “ The lazy person always has excuses for not doing what is
expected of him or her . The rich are what they are because they are very poor at
giving excuses; most poor persons are very rich in excuses .Success starts the
day excuses end. The concept that grace
makes things easy can be very misleading and does more harm than good (Read
apostle Paul’s ministry experience 2Cor.11:23-30) , the contrary is the case, grace is the enablement to go through life's challenges .If it is easy ,it is most likely not God’s will . I have a policy that says ”
if it is easy , God isn’t in it “ with God all things are possible but not necessarily
easy . The lazy fellow always seeks for the easy way out but suffers at the
end. Prov 10:4 TLB” Lazy men are soon poor; hard workers get rich.” The easy way out eventually results in poverty ,failed marriages and relationships.
We should ask God for strength for perseverance and determination to go through
what it takes to achieve enduring success and make a commitment to never give
up in the face of adversity: be goal-oriented and have a precise vision of what we desire to achieve in life and work towards it and avoid doctrines that encourage fast and easy success; they only make the preacher richer and lead to more poverty (prov.31:27,Prov15:19) As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and savior and
read this now , receive grace for sustainable progress in Jesus name.
