GOD BECAME FLESH IN JESUS CHRIST
John 1:14” And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” KJV
Jesus Christ is the Word (mind) of God . God is spirit, infinite and invisible to the physical eyes while man is finite, partly spirit and part physical .We operate by physical and scientific laws such as gravity. God created these laws and therefore cannot be subject to the laws of science, that’s why it is difficult to prove God’s existence using physical laws.God also created human knowledge and is above human comprehension , He reveals himself to us progressively that is why its difficult to understand how He functions. Scientific laws are too limited in capacity to define an unlimited God. For instance, you cannot predict accurately what the next ten years would be, but God can.
In order to give us a better understanding of His person, God uses the principles of anthropomorphism. Anthropomorphism comes from two Greek words: anthropos (man) and morphe (form). Thus, anthropomorphism is when God manifests Himself to us in human form or using human attributes and characteristics , He is able to do this because He is all powerful . The scriptures are replete with these features .Since we cannot ascend (figuratively) to where He lives, it is only appropriate He descends (figuratively) to where we are. 1 Tim 3:16 says” .. great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” KJV
Jesus described himself as the son of God . The concept of son- ship is an expression of God’s desire for a human family as originally intended during creation in the garden of Eden. This was what the law of Moses and the prophets could not achieve . Jesus is God’s righteous branch and we are the fruits of that branch. He is described as the firstborn Rom 8:29 says “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren “KJV God gives the seal of approval to as many that accept Jesus as lord and savior Jn1:12 they are referred to as ‘sons’ regardless of gender.
It is not proper to say that God is ashamed of the born again Christian because of their shortcoming .In Christ all shame is removed eternally, through sanctification by grace we receive the status of sainthood, therefore , Christ isn’t ashamed of us. Heb 2:11” For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,” Though society or our family even the church may be ashamed of us as a result of our failures, Jesus is never ashamed of us and has given us access to all of God’s blessings.
As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and saviour and read this now, receive grace to overcome shame and stagnation in Jesus name.
