THIS IS WHERE TO FIND TRUE SECURITY

Luke 12:19-20 " And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?"
The level of security the world over is at its lowest ebb. The resent threat by terror groups has further worsened the state of insecurity . There is growing apprehension about the safety of businesses, marriages, finances as a result of the growing trend in insecurity worldwide.
People are more fearful, uncertain , anxious about the future because not much time is given to the studying of God’s word. The word of God is light and when light shines in a place, darkness is repelled. In luke.12:16-18 Jesus's parable is a reflection of the failing world's security system . This system is centered on the acquisition of wealth for security against the rainy days . Rather than give out his estate to those in need, this fellow chosed to demolish the old estate to make room for a bigger one.
All around the world, homes are being demolished and properties belonging to the poor are forcefully possessed by the rich in order to make way for estates whose prices are beyond the reach of the average citizen and this is one the main reasons for global insecurity. Farmlands have been turned to empty playgrounds for the rich thus increasing food insecurity across the world.
The scriptures speaks of the consequences of these land grabs and insecurity in Isaiah 32: 14 -18 "Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;" what this means is that properties built out of this oppressive schemes will be left unoccupied and will become a den for criminals and a habitation for wild animals until their owners repent and allow the spirit of righteousness guide their actions.
The effect of the spirit of righteousness shall be that we will dwell in safe neighborhoods in quietness and enjoy rest. It is sad to note that some churches consider land grabbing as a thing to be celebrated and church leaders encourage followers to embark on this wasteful and oppressive venture all in a bid to secure their financial future. Land grabbing is the reason behind global terror because it leads to inequality in society. The present spate of global terrorism is proof that money cannot secure a person, as a matter of fact the rich are more vulnerable to terrorism.
The fellow in luke12: must have been a victim of the monster he helped to create : the scriptures says in verse 20 that he suffered an attack at night which cost him his life . God would rather have us use our excess wealth to build institutions that would eventually empower people in other to bring them out of poverty .
Stability of mind comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus through His word ( Heb.13:8,Rom: 35-39) , nothing in this world can guarantee our security , when we place more emphasis on building wealth than our relationship with Christ, it leads to anxiety and fear and the destruction of marriages and families ( Matthew 6:25-33) we must learn to put all our cares on the lord, though the world security system may fail, Jesus never fails ( 1peter5:7) and anytime we are tempted to feel insecure, we should meditate on His word and set our hearts on Him ( Psalm 31:24). He promises that no misfortune shal befall you neither shall the plague come near your dwelling place. As you read this now,receive grace for divine security in Jesus name.
