GRACE FOR DIVERSIFICATION AND MULTIPLICATION OF RESOURCES
Matt 25:22-30 NKJV “ He also who
had received two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents;
look, I have gained two more talents besides them.' His lord said to him,'Well done, good and
faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you
ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' "Then he who had received the one talent
came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not
sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your
talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' "But his lord answered and said to him,
'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and
gather where I have not scattered seed.
So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my
coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to
him who has ten talents. 'For to
everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him
who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.”
This scripture draws a parallel between
the pursuit of the virtues of God’s kingdom and doing business. Jesus was a businessman at one time in his life and
understood the dynamics of money . Over 70% of his parables were centered on money and commerce . The business of spreading the message of the kingdom must be treated
with the same devotion as in the pursuit of business for the purpose of making
money . He underscored the importance of a sound economy in the pursuit of
matters of God’s kingdom . As a teacher I know first hand how much it cost to
have a global ministry, preaching the gospel
on multiple platforms through the internet , radio and TV ;it cost a fortune.
The above scripture also shows the preeminence of economy over politics. No matter how smart a poor person is, they
won’t be voted into political office. That was what happened to the fellow with
one talent. The fellow with five talent and the one with two proved they could
be trusted with the kingdom’s resources by multiplying what was handed them.
They were made rulers (senators,
counselors, governors ,presidents, mayors , chancellors etc) The fellow with one talent thought poverty
was a symbol of humility but he was
rebuked for his inability to diversify his investment . He never bothered to study investment banking
which is the easiest business for those with time and very low expenses. He was afraid of the risk of losing money in
the business arena but failed to understand that you gain by losing. That’s why
companies give free samples of their products to the public ; to build a market
base. Those who are afraid of losing money never make it and end up being in
lack (Matt25:29). Even the best of businessmen suffer loses despite their grand
plans but they never quit.
Business requires faith and perseverance ( Matt
25:19) good things take time to build
and multiplication of resources is by diversification , the fellow with one
talent was stuck with living from hand to mouth . When God created Adam he
placed him in a garden with many rivers: to tell us we should diversify our
economy. A church that does not produce what it consumes will always play the
second fiddle in politics and will have leaders imposed upon them.
Diversification demands investing in unfamiliar territories with minimal risk
Eccl 11:2-4 “ But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie
ahead. When clouds are heavy, the rains
come down. Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls.
Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud,
they never harvest.” The believer in Christ should have more than one source of income, it is the path to a life of abundance.
As you receive Jesus Christ as
lord and savior and read this now
receive grace for financial freedom in Jesus name.
