TRUE HONOUR COMES FROM GOD (PART 1)

Ps 91:15-16 NKJV  “ He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. “
   Honour means to be in high respect; great esteem ,it is the quality of knowing and doing what is morally right
  Man was created to be honoured , the scriptures says God created man in His likeness ; God desires worship likewise man. It is not abnormal to desire honor  ,it is part of the human nature . Human’s desire being liked that’s why in this era of social media ,people will go any length to be recognized .
   God created man to give Him honour , it is the reason why testimonies are shared to the praise of His name.  Ps 29:2 NKJV says “Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. “ and Ps 107:32 NKJV says   “Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, And praise Him in the company of the elders. “ Giving testimonies increases our faith for greater breakthroughs .
  During His earthly ministry, Jesus received honour from men  Mark 11:8-9 NKJV  “And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' “
     We are enjoined to honour our parents ;elders and spiritual leaders , success rides on the wings of honuor . If you are struggling in life for long you better check to see if you have been honouring those God commanded us to honour  (Eph6:1-2,phill2:29 ,1Th.3:13).You do not chose who to honour; God does (Jer3:15) That’s why some persons complain that they’ve been giving offerings and tithes and yet no results , they may have been giving it to the wrong persons.Ask God to show you who to give your ceremonial  tithes to as a demonstration of honour for Him like He did to Abraham (Gen14:20,Deut14:23).  Honour is a major door opener in marriage, jobs, finances and business.
    True honour comes from God and it attracts riches and wealth . 1 Kings 3:13-14  NIV says “Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for — both riches and honor — so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. “ and Eccl 6:2 NIV says “God gives a man wealth, possessions and honor, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires, ..” wisdom , diligence ,expertise and proficiency are virtues from God  leading to riches and honour (Prov8:18) Those who are open to knowledge without the fear of being judged are promised honour and riches .Being judged is a blessing , it opens the door to excellence .it is better to be criticized and judged than to receive praise from men. It is one of the secrets of successful men and woman .   Prov 13:18 TLB “If you refuse criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept criticism, you are on the road to fame. “

On investigation it was discovered the church suffered from a vicious cycle of evil family  patterns. They were not enjoying the fruits of the salvation experience . An example of evil family patterns is that of King David who defiled Uriah's wife ,murdered him and his son Absalom murdered his brother Amnon (2Sam13) dethroned him and defiled his concubines openly (2Samuel16). His son Amnon defiled his sister Tamar (2Sam.13) and so on yet David was the anointed of the Lord....

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.    The gospel is so much under attack by the activities of faithless religionists . They plan to replace the holy scripture with humanistic dogma.
