LOVE AND MERCY IS A SHEILD AGAINST FAILURE IN RELATIONSHIPS

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi “Love shall cover the multitude of sins” 1Peter4:8       To love means to be compassionate.  True love is only seen when an offense is perpetrated: Love is a force from God that is exhibited when we show compassion for each other.   It is the very nature of God and the strongest force in the universe.  Without love the human race would be extinct.  However, the love of God is what preserves us through His mercy.      The sufferings in the world are as a result of man rejecting God’s plans for humanity.  We easily rebel against anything that is holy and godly and easily embrace evil.  The result of this attitude is everywhere for all to see; heart breaks, diseases, death, destruction, sadness etc.     Our actions towards God deserves our total annihilation, for the soul that sins shall die, but God’s love for humanity constraints Him from executing maximum punishment on us. God is merciful to us: “The Lord is longsuffering and of great mercy, forgiving

THE PATNERSHIP THAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Luke 5:7 "And they beckoned unto  their partners,  which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them.  And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink."        Prior to this verse of Scripture,  Jesus had told an exasperated Peter who had been fishing all night to  "..... Launch  out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught."( Luke 5:4) this happened after Peter had given his boat to Jesus to use as a platform to preach the gospel of the kingdom. The scriptures teaches that there is a reward for giving one's resources for the teaching of the gospel , it is called sowing to the spirit . Gal.6: 8b says  ."..he that soweth to the Spirit shall of  the Spirit reap life everlasting." What this means is that sustainability in one's business enterprise comes from consciously investing in the spread of the gospel. Neglecting this divine ordinance is the reason behind the collapse

THE DANGER IN SELF-CONFIDENCE

Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Jeremiah 9:23" Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise  man glory in his  wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich  man glory in his riches: "        The challenges of everyday living reveals the inequalities in society and is behind the insecurity problems the world over. In a bid to acquire some degree of comfort and safety many have built their security within the perimeter of their finances,  academic achievements and social class. Unfortunately, none of the above can truly guarantee one's safety in today's world.         The second coming of Jesus Christ shall be heralded by a heightened security problem on a global scale because of the increase in wickedness in the heart of men as a result of demonic activities.  The scriptures says Matthew 24:12" And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. " it is against this backdrop that self- dependence exposes one to the dangers of s

LOVE DISPELS DARKNESS FASTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi James 3:16 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."    The imperfections in man always elicites offenses from and against one's neighbours, therefore we can not go a day without offending and being offended by someone . Revenge is a natural tendency by reason of the fallen nature of man partly because we are oblivious of the implications in the long run.       The natural law of justice is that which says in Luke 6:31 "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise". What this means is that every word or action taken against or in favour of  anyone is a seed that will materialize in the same action being taken against or in our favour . What this implies is that every action we take, from an evil imagination to a sigh ,pointing of the finger, spiteful speech etc are seeds which grow to produce a harvest in their similitude  .        The grace of God does not interfer with t

THE PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST BAPTISM

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is  come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,  and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the  earth."      The Holy Spirit is the life force of God, He is referred to as the third person in the trinity not by way of rank but by identity and functionality. It is analogous of an egg which consists of three parts, first the shell ,secondly the albumen and thirdly the yoke.  The order of occurrence does not necessarily mean an order of superiority. Likewise , God is three in one just as the egg is three in one and they are equal and function in perfect harmony. God is Father, Son (The Word) and the Holy Ghost. The scriptures says in Matthew 28: 19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: " the grammatical conjunction 'and' indicates a conne

HOW TO RECEIVE FAITH FOR EXTRAORDINARY EXPLOITS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi Mark9:24 "And straightway the father of  the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine  unbelief."     Faith is to God what a  password is to an automated teller machine (ATM). Without faith we cannot gain access to any of God's provisions.  The Christian life is impossible without faith.  Jesus attributed the miracles that took place during His earthly ministry to the faith of the recipients (Mt.9:2,22,29,Mk5:24,lk7:50) He often said to the healed that your faith has made you whole. He did not say the powerful apostle, Rev,pastor, evangelists and  prophet has made you whole as  some teachers erroneously  do today. He attributed it to faith only.  All that is needed is faith .            The scriptures says that God has given us all that we need in life for godliness and sustenance (2Pet.1:3 ). He is not planning to give but has given all that we need. And like the ATM requires a password before releasing its conte

THERE IS MIRACULOUS POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD

THERE'S POWER IN THE WORD Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we  beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full  of grace and truth.         This verse of Scripture reveals the truth about the formation of the human character or personality. It  teaches that it is possible for the character of a person to be known before he or she is born through the words that were spoken and meditated upon knowingly or unknowingly prior to conception.  Jesus Christ  is the word of God metamorphosed into a human body by the word spoken and meditated upon by Mary (Luke 1:31-38)        The scriptures says in Jeremiah 1: 5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;  and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and  I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." meaning we all existed in a spiritual word format well known by God before we were conceived in our mother's wombs. In psa

YOU CANNOT BE A FAILURE

CHRIST IN YOU . By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi Col.1:27" To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" .         The very moment a person receives Jesus Christ into their heart , the greatest miracle a person can ever experience takes place . His or her  spirit unites with the spirit of the living God through Jesus Christ. This is the greatest thing that could ever happen to a person.  Prior to salvation we were alienated from the Spirit of God and we're at the mercy of fallen spirits . We were aliens to the God type of life through our ignorance (Ephesians 4:18)             But when we received the gospel in to our hearts, our spirits experienced a rebirth, the scriptures says in Titus 3: 4-6 "But after that the kindness and  love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of  righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he  saved us, by the was

BECOMING LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN GIVES PEACE

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Matt 18: 3" And said,  Verily I say  unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye  shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven"     The word 'converted' is the Greek word 'strepho' which means to twist, i.e. turn quite around or reverse, turn self about. The word 'become' is the Greek word 'ginomai' which means to arise, be assembled, fall, be finished, follow, be found, be fulfilled , grow,be made, be performed,  seem, be showed. Therefore, Jesus is saying that except a person be willing to make a u-turn from his or her self-centered agenda or what he or she assumes to be their purpose in life and decides to follow Jesus with the simpleness of the heart of a child without the fear of falling in error and being fulfilled with what life presents each day as a child does without bogus ambitions with the readiness and willingness to assemble with other believers  like children do and being willin

EVOLUTION VERSUS CREATIONISM

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi John 1:3 "All  things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made  that was made." Psalm 53:1 "The fool hath said in his heart,  There is no God. Corrupt are they,  and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good."           The concept of evolution as postulated by atheists is that which teaches that through the process of abiogenesis the smallest possible organic matter was formed by atoms coming together abruptly and without a cause. And from this smallest cell life on earth in all its complexities evolved. This process they claim ,was preceded by a sudden explosion known as the 'big bang' that led to the creation of the universe and out of it came the first cells from where life on earth began. To believe in this theory is tantamount to believing that  jet planes emanated from the desert .  If evolution is true then it should be a continuum with evidence of the over 1 billion species of living

AVOID THE TWO EXTREMES OF RELIGIOUS LEGALISM& THE ABUSE OF THE LAW OF GRACE

By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi.       1Cor.6: 12 "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient:  all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power  of any."    The aforementioned scriptures summarizes the degree of immunity the child of God enjoys under the dispensation of grace through Jesus Christ. This became necessary because men constantly broke the laws of Moses(Exo.24:12), therefore forgiveness was needed through blood sacrifice that justice may be satisfied and man eternally made free from the condemnation of the laws of Moses . The law required atonement for sins through blood sacrifice (lev.4:1-4,17:11, Hebrew9:22) but this was not a sufficient cure for sin because animal sacrifice though repeatedly executed could not take away sins. There was always an unclean guilty conscience (Heb.10:1-4,11)          However, through the shedding of His blood, Jesus Christ obtained eternal redemption for us (Heb.9:25-28a) and it was a on

HOW TO AVOID BEING A VICTIM OF THE ENDTIME APOSTASY

Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Matt 24:12 "And because iniquity  shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.".      As we approach the end of the human age and the second coming of Christ, the world shall experience an increase in demonic activities because the Devil knows that his time is up . This period shall witness the greatest fall amongst Christians because of the enemy's intrusion into the church. The fall is known as the apostasy which means disloyalty.  Jesus predicted that disloyalty shall be a common trend in the last days.           Our worship determines our commitment to one another.  Therefore,  disloyalty to Christ is the foundation of one's disloyalty to one's  spouse, family or community . Marriages have been hard hit by this with an ever increasing number in divorce rates among believers. One's devotion to Christ determines his or her devotion to one's spouse. Love is an irrevocable commandment by the lord (John 13:34 ) . In the last days

HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi 1 Tim 2:1-2 KJV “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”   Prayer is the communication between God and spirits. It exist in the following forms : (1) supplication (Greek:   deomai ) which means   to beg (as binding oneself), when making a supplication on behalf of a person ,you present yourself as part of the guilty party   while using the pronoun ‘we’ and ‘us’.(2) prayer (Greek: proseuche) which means to worship in the spirit while speaking in tongues(3)   intersession (Greek:enteuxis) which means   an interview while making supplication on behalf of a guilty party :in this case prayers are made on behalf of a person   other than oneself   (4) Giving of thanks (Greek: eucharistia) which means gratitude while actively using a grateful language to
