IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU

Image
By. Michael Benson Ajayi Mark 8:24-26 NKJV  “ And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees, walking." Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.         Jesus ’  healing methods were a reflection of God ’ s love for us, they were very unconventional: He laid hands, prophesied and in this case used saliva therapy .He did not operate by any religious model or template. Each miracle was unique in nature and with a message ; the scripture says Jesus took the blind man out of town and spat on his eyes after which he asked to know if he could see, it took two treatments before the desired result was achieved. This is contrary to what is observed in many religious miracle arenas  were people are humiliated openly in the public domain and made a spectacle of with digital theater effects for the world's media ;  Jesus did all he could do to maintain the dignity of those he prayed for.        Th

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP ACTIVATES FAITH FOR EXTRAORDINARY EXPLOITS

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  Heb 10:24-25 KJV “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”     Followers of Jesus Christ are called to be symbols and dispensers of God’s unconditional love. He gave us a new commandment (John13:34) haven fulfilled the Old Testament; this commandment is centered on love for one’s neighbor as yourself(Gal.5:14) .This is contrary to what religion preaches, Matt 5:38-46  NKJV Says "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'   But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.  If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.  And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.  Give to him who asks you, and f

PRINCIPLES OF LIVING BY DIVINE FAVOUR

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi Ex 3:20-22 NKJV  “ And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed. ”               The word  ‘ favour ’  used in this scripture is the Hebrew word  ‘ chen ’  and it means graciousness, kindness, beauty, pleasant, precious. Therefore, whenever a person is operating under divine favour he or she becomes a recipient of extraordinary goodwill .           In the New Testament,  ‘ favour ’  is used interchangeably with the word  ‘ grace ’ .  It is our insurance policy against failure or defeat in our mission to the spread the gospel . It is the covenant right of every believer in Christ however, not all believers in Christ work in divine favour as they ought to . The scriptures say in James NKJV 4:6 “ But  He gives more  grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4:10 NKJV  “ Humble yourselves i

THIS IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET.

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  Num 24:10-14 “King Balak flew into a rage against Balaam. He angrily clapped his hands and shouted, "I called you to curse my enemies! Instead, you have blessed them three times.  Now get out of here! Go back home! I promised to reward you richly, but the Lord has kept you from your reward."  Balaam told Balak, "Don't you remember what I told your messengers? I said, 'Even if Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of the Lord.' I told you that I could say only what the Lord says! “       Prophet Balaam like every servant of the lord had his weaknesses, there is no servant of the lord who has not erred (Ecc.7:20) it is what makes the mercy of God indispensable to our existence. But in this case Balaam had a choice to turn against God and be rich beyond his wildest dream or remain with the truth and face the consequences.  He chose  the latter

THE DANGER OF USING COMPLAINTS AS A MEANS OF ESCAPING RESPONSIBILITIES

Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi   Num 13:32-33 “And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. Num 14:2-4 NIV “All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, "If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert!  Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn't it be better for us to go back to Egypt?"  And they said to each other, "We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt."      Faith always places a demand on us . It comes with responsibilities and faith without responsibilities is dead. Most persons have been made to believe miracles always comes easy and as such all one needs to do is pray , fast and wait and if nothing happens increase the fasting and the prayer until you receiv

DEALING WITH LONELINESS AND THE FEELING OF BEING LEFT OUT

Image
By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  1 Peter 4:4-6 NLT “ Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.    But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead.”            The salvation experience involves a change in perspective and orientation in life . This is as a result of the regeneration of our spirit man by the Holy Spirit . He removes the appetite for sin replacing it with a hunger for righteousness. It is this thirst for righteousness that gives the Christian a reason to live . The lord promises satisfaction to those who thirst after righteousness.         Our thirst for righteousness is contrary to the world’s crave for sin and results in isolation , rejection , being excluded from the company or activities of others . This is when we sometimes feel left out . This feeling can be real or imagined and can affect the believer adv

GOD DOES NOT DELIGHT IN SACRIFICES: THEY FRUSTRATE DIVINE PURPOSE

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi  1 Sam 15:15,20-22, KJV “And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for  the people  spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed. And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But  the people  took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal.  And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams”.       It is rare to attend a church meeting without experiencing the endless  requests from preachers demanding for 'sacrificial offerings ' from the congregation

WHERE AND WHEN DID JESUS SAY ‘I AM GOD’ ? PART 1

By Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi          Whenever the president of Nigeria delivers a national broadcast on her independence day , it is usually a recorded speech that is played to the public on radio and television. The recording is as authentic as the president delivering the speech directly and live. The recorded speech is an expression of the mind of the president on pertinent issues.      Let’s take it a step further , imagine if an android    robot made in the exact image of the president with the capacity to autonomously act but still with the mind of the president and programmed to speak to the citizens . If the question was asked who is the one speaking through the robot, the answer would be Mr President     Let’s take a step further , what if a clone of the president with the same genetic blueprint , physiological and biological features with same soul and spirit was made to speak like the robot did but with autonomous and homogenous life features . Such a human clo

FLEXIBILITY OF GRACE WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Image
By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi      Num 9:6-10 TLB “ But as it happened, some of the men had just attended a funeral and were ceremonially defiled by having touched the dead, so they couldn't eat the Passover lamb that night. They came to Moses and Aaron and explained their problem and protested at being forbidden from offering their sacrifice to the Lord at the time he had appointed.  Moses said he would ask the Lord about it, and this was God's reply:  "If any of the people of Israel, now or in the generations to come, are defiled at Passover time because of touching a dead body, or if they are on a journey and cannot be present, they may still celebrate the Passover, but one month later,”           The Old Testament law required that those who made contact with a corpse abstained from religious duties until they were declared ceremonially clean by the priests. Therefore , it was common to see some of the Israelites avoiding contact with corpses during re

HOW TO SECURE A RELATIONSHIP AGAINST FAILURE

Image
By  Rev. Michael Benson Ajayi  Isaiah 60:3-4 NKJV  “ The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. "Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; ”              Jesus said we are the light of the world and salt of the earth Matt5:13-14. Light reveals the beauty of a thing : salt is a seasoner and preserver : bringing out the essence of creation .The second verse of Isaiah 60 says  “ darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; ”  this darkness is the confusion and chaos in the world that  is  as a result of the lack of unconditional  love .The world practices a conditional type of love ; this is deficient in so many ways because sometimes conditions are altered beyond our control resulting in a lack of commitment in relationships. It is easy to be loved as long as you meet needs but as soon as you are incapacitated you are hated by those who once loved you.              It

TAKING AUTHORITY OVER PRINCIPALITIES

Image
Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi   Mark 3:14-16 NIV  “ He appointed twelve — designating them apostles-that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons. “        The word 'authority' is the Greek word  ‘exousia’ it means;  privilege, force, capacity, competency, freedom, mastery , magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control, delegated influence: The believer in Jesus Christ has been given delegated influence over satanic powers and just as darkness disappears at the appearance of light so does satanic powers surrender at the presence of the believer in Jesus Christ .  Authority is positional ( a function of the office a person occupies ) and ethereal  ( divine ,effective, real : though not physically visible ) God places persons into office to reward some persons and bring judgment on some others: even Satan has a role to play in divine justice on earth (1Cor. 5:5,1Tim1:20)        Sat
