SMOOTH PATHS FOR THE RIGHTEOUS

Isa 30:10-13  “ They tell their spiritual leaders "Don't bother us with irrelevancies." They tell their preachers, "Don't waste our time on impracticalities. Tell us what makes us feel better.   Don't bore us with obsolete religion. That stuff means nothing to us. Quit hounding us with The Holy of Israel."  Therefore, The Holy of Israel says this …..“ Mssg
Isa 26:7 NLT “ But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them.”
 The church can be likened to a construction site with rough stones being carved to fit into the various sections which constitute the house of God.  The house of God is not a physical building but the people that make up the body of Christ (the church) .  The word of God is likened to a harmer used by the builders (spiritual leaders)  to knock the various stones  into shape . 1 Peter 2:5 TLB  says “And now you have become living building-stones for God's use in building his house. What's more, you are his holy priests;”
       The process of moving stones from the quarry site to the building  is not a pleasant one , however , they are designed to withstand the stress that comes with building process. God’s family is being built through the contributions of every one of us.  He has appointed master builders to supervise the building process, they are pastors, teachers , apostles, prophets ,evangelists, administrators . They are all equally important in producing a masterpiece for the lord .  1 Corinthians 3-13-15 says every man’s work will be tested with the fire of affliction. It is in the furnace that we are chosen for greater assignments and promotion   Isa 48:10 “ Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.”  A true builder is expected to build marriages, business, family etc to withstand the worst temptation possible.
         Unfortunately, God’s prescribed building techniques are unpopular to those in need of a quick- fix solution.  They involved teaching on the Holiness of God: a topic many hate to hear. Many preachers for the love of money  have fallen victims of this trend summarized in ” Tell us what makes us feel better”  .Smooth talk does not inform a person of the price that has to be paid for an enduring success in  marriage , relationship , business , ministry etc. it emphasis on carnal fruits. It does not speak of integrity .hard work, tenacity, determination, pain, sweat and tears. It paints a rosy picture of the cross, neglecting the nails, blood, cries, nakedness, humiliation, and beating of Christ. And so many are not prepared for the fire that comes after success, leading to many shipwrecks in the journey of faith.
             The scripture declares that the path of the righteous shall be smooth , this does not mean there won’t be  obstacles but  haven been purified by fire they will be too smooth to be held back by life’s challenges . God always makes a way for the righteous. Embrace sound doctrine not smooth talk, the survival of your marriage, health, business, ministry and children depends on it. Sometimes sharp rebuke is a component of righteous doctrine required to keep us safe (Tit.1:13). We are admonished to speak in line with sound doctrine (Titus2:1) rejecting sound doctrine is a major hindrance to prayers being answered and an invitation to disaster (Isaiah 30:12-13, Proverbs 1:26-32) this is the reason for most of the  so- called “strong deliverance cases” . All that is needed is genuine repentance and a return to truth.
 Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive grace for recovery and  protection against disaster in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
