GOD HATES DISUNITY .

"Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble."Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬10 NLTBible 

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLTBible 

    The Lord wants us to have unity , the body of believers is like the human body that can only function optimally when every part is functioning effectively and contributing its potentials to the other parts of the body. 

   Disunity is like losing a part of your body , this results in loss in strength and potentials and capacity to perform . The lord wants us to be united. " Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you." 2 Corinthians 13:11 NLTBible It is in unity we experience love and peace . 

God hates disunity . "There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family." Proverbs 6:16-19 NLTBible  Disunity is a major reason why prayers do not get answered . Under a state of disunity ,you cannot enjoy grace meaning you will be living by your strength. When Hagar was sent away due to disunity ,she soon ran out of divine purpose and out of strength , she was instructed of the Angel of the lord to return to her family . (Gen16:1-11) verses 9 -11 says her return will result in her multiplication. 

   Disunity opens doors for Satan and demons to wreck havoc amongst God's people. ( James 3:14,15) Unity makes it easy to achieve common goals . 

United families tend to make greater progress than disunited families. It is easier to win life's battles when united (Eccl 4:12, 1 Sam 14:6,7 ) 

  A united church will win more souls for the kingdom of God ." On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all." Acts of the Apostles 2:1‭-‬2‭, ‬41 NLTBible. 

   The early church was driven by a common goal : soul winning . It is important to reiterate family goals as much as possible . When goals are not known disunity is inevitable. 

 Jesus prayed that we be united as one  (John 17:11,21,22,) .". May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me." John 17:23 NLTBible  Disunity makes a mockery of our claims to being followers of Jesus Christ. The world cannot see Christ in a disunited church .  

    We should be working together as a united body . " so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other."  Romans 12:5 NLTBible we belong to each other therefore there is no winner in any fight amongst members of the same family  . There should be no divisions because of sex , race , social standing . ( 1Cor. 12;13,Gal.3:28) 

Prayer: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power for the promotion of peace and unity in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
