PRAYING FOR HEALING OF THE SICK .

For instance, if we see a Christian believer sinning (clearly I’m not talking about those who make a practice of sin in a way that is “fatal,” leading to eternal death), we ask for God’s help and he gladly gives it, gives life to the sinner whose sin is not fatal. There is such a thing as a fatal sin, and I’m not urging you to pray about that. Everything we do wrong is sin, but not all sin is fatal."1 John 5:16‭-‬17 MSGBible. 

    1Timothy 5: 22 'Lay hands suddenly on  no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins:  keep thyself pure." 

           These scriptures clearly states it is not every case of sickness that a believer in Jesus Christ should engage in prayers. The word 'suddenly'  in 1 Timothy 5:22 is the Greek word ' tacheōs ' it means ( in manner) speedily , briefly , hastily , rapidly . Doing this is very dangerous ,many preachers have become casualties of sharing in someone's unrepentant sins with lives lost in the process. 

    An example is the young prophet who was expressly instructed not to eat in Bethel but was deceived by a corrupt old prophet to do  otherwise and was killed by a lion 1kings13:11-29 . Our actions come with consequences and trying to obstruct divine justice could lead to one being a partaker of unpleasant consequences. Many preachers have died as a result of this .  

    It is always important we first investigate the origin of a sickness before laying hands and praying for healing . Laying hands in prayer for an unrepentant rebellious Christian could be very detrimental to one's health . We should seek God's kingdom (counsel ) first before getting involved in someone's spiritual battles. Jesus Christ did not heal all at the pool of Bethesda. We cannot love more than God does. 

   In 1Sam 6:3 b the Philistines were afflicted with painful  boils because of the ark of the covenant , it was revealed when they sought to know the origin of their aliments. ( see Job.36:9-11, Phi 3:15b) Job was healed after he repented from arrogance and presumptuousness. Sickness is often  caused by sin (Psa 38:2-5, Psa107:17; Psa119,67) . God  allows sickness to teach us the danger of self righteousness and the  inadequacy of man-made religion . The devil was allowed to afflict job to test him. God's people were afflicted with a pandemic because of sin "So he gave them what they asked for, but he sent a plague along with it." Psalms 106:15 NLT. 

   In the new testament scripture of 1 Cor.5 :1-5 a man was given to the devil as a disciplinary action against sexual perversion. "Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord , And teach out of Your law," Psalms 94:12 NKJV

   Sicknesses can be as a result of physical reasons such as bad hygiene (Mk7:3-4) unhealthy dietary habits (Lev.11:4-12) Alcohol and drug abuse (Prov.23:29-35) sexual perversion (Rom.1:24-27) excessive work with insufficient rest (Phil.2:27,30) 

  Other causes include demonic attacks Matt9:32,38; Acts10:38; " ..woman..whom satan has bound eighteen years " (Luk13:11,13,16) in Mk 9:17-20,15 a boy was healed from a demonic oppression

  Diseases are also caused by emotional traumas such as pains from a broken heart , divorce or rejection Prov17;22 says " A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones." Proverbs 17:22 NKJV

Gossips , envy and other negative emotions contribute to failed health "A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is  rottenness to the bones." Proverbs 14:30 NKJV. Jesus Christ heals the emotionally traumatized when we seek him in true repentance (Psalm147:3)  

Prayer: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power for miraculous healing in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
