YOUR ARMOUR AND WEAPON TO DEFEAT THE DEVIL

"About that time King Herod Agrippa began to persecute some believers in the church. He had the apostle James (John’s brother) killed with a sword. When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter. (This took place during the Passover celebration. ) But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. Acts of the Apostles 12:1‭-‬3‭, ‬5 NLTBible 

   Spiritual warfare is the process of the enforcement of God's mandate for the advance of his kingdom agenda by engaging and resisting the devil and his agents by grace through faith demonstrated through prayer, fasting and strategic productive hard work while meditating on the word of God.

   The devil seeks to keep people away from being saved and he has agents like king Herod, in other to please the Antichrist he began killing the disciples. Peter the first general overseer was imprisoned with plans to have him executed but the church decided to take the battle to the devil . They  prayed ceaselessly and Peter was released and king Herod permanently neutralized. This is an example of spiritual warfare. 

    King David prayed by the Holy Ghost " I will exalt you, Lord , for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me." Psalms 30:1 NLTBible and "May those who try to destroy me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace."Psalms 40:14 NLTBible   Memorizing and reciting a scriptures with heartfelt faith and deep understanding releases power for extraordinary breakthroughs. Psalm 40:14 was fulfilled in favour of the disciples. In one instance the disciples quoted psalm 2 prophetically resulting in a major revival in the face of stiff opposition. 

  They never let down their guard . They were fully equipped with their spiritual armour." Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."Ephesians 6:11‭, ‬13 NKJVBible

    The Bible describes this as the armour of righteousness 2Cor.6: 7 days " By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the  armour of righteousness on the right hand and  on the left .This armour requires taking the shield of faith Psalm91:4 .".:  his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. " and Ephesians 6:16" Above all, taking the shield  of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all  the fiery darts of the wicked.'" Faith is loyalty and total reliance on God and it comes from hearing God's word . 

   With faith comes the Sword of the Spirit - the word of God ( Ephesians 6:17) and the unbreakable helmet of Salvation ( Ephesians 6:17) a person must be full of the hope of salvation before attempting to confront the devil. Salvation destroys the fear of death: an indication of freedom from Satan's stronghold ( Hebrew2:14-15) . 

  Salvation  liberates from guilt and condemnation and makes us partakers of God's righteousness. This is our breastplate in spiritual warfare . The Bible says in 1Thes 5:8 "But let us..be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith  and love; and for an helmet, the hope of  salvation." The consciousness of God's love eliminates the fear of whatever the devil plans against us.

Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to demolish every attack from the devil's kingdom in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
