Michael Benson Ajayi Ps 27:4 NKJV “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.” Ps 16:5 NKJV    “ O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot”       Every kingdom is ruled by a monarch and a set of rules which outlines duties of citizens and their rights and privileges.   They are entitled to an inheritance which includes security of lives and property. The scriptures says in Col 1:12 NKJV    “giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”    The believer in Christ has an inheritance in God’s kingdom that’s beyond any material object in value . In reality ,there is no poor Christian. The poor in society are victims of bad governance .Poverty is the outcome of the theft and mismanagement of resources by God's people

Through God's wisdom we know that we can influence a person's actions towards us , that's what the scripture means when it says do unto others as you would want them do to you (Matt7:12). A man desirous of love from his wife should first show unfeigned love to her and vise versa .  A kind deed evokes happiness. Sadness is a by-product of selfishness. Its the selfishness of one or both partners in a marriage that makes for a sad home. We should always ask God to reveal the consequence of our actions on others before we take action.        Through God's word we can predict a person's reaction when we take certain actions therefore,

Michael Benson Ajayi Ps 10:3 “For they brag about their evil desires; they praise the greedy and curse the Lord.” Covetousness is the desire to have that which belongs to others , it is also described as greed . This is the desire to have more than is needed         Nations of the earth are given resources by God sufficient to cater for citizens and an equitable distribution of resources guarantees social security of citizens .    Any imbalance in the distribution of resources results in destruction of lives and properties . This is the reason behind the level of insecurity and underdevelopment of many countries .   Poverty is man –made and  a result of covetousness ,God condemns this in both the old and new testaments . Ananias and Saphira paid the ultimate price as a result of covetousness in the church (Acts 5) . John 5:16-27, ".....And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him because he had done these things on the sabbath day."         When the Israelites left Egypt in a process referred to as 'the exodus', there were approximately  six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children (Exodus 12:37).  They had been slaves to the Egyptians for 430 years (Exodus 12:40).  God miraculously fed  the Israelites with manna during their journey in the wilderness to the promised land .         They gathered manna everyday except on the seventh (Exodus 16) this was compensated by the fact that they gathered  twice as much manna on the sixth day . This event was a prelude to the observance of the seventh day as a  Sabbath day in the ten commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai on two stone tablets  (Ex. 20:8-11).          The Sabbath day was a memorial of the day of rest on the seventh day of creation

Michael Benson Ajayi Matt 8:8 KJV  “ The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but  speak the word only , and my servant shall be healed. ”         This soldier understood the power behind spoken words and in his line of work, word is bond and it also meant the difference between life and death. He had witnessed Jesus taking charge over situations by the spoken  ‘ word ’  and was convinced that as long as he brought himself under Jesus ’  authority, he ’ s would not  be any different. The military has specific code name for every operation. Therefore, it is not unusual to hear the same word having different meanings in tactical warfare and it will require an acquaintance with a brigade commander, for one to know the meaning of a given command. This was why this soldier sought to establish a relationship with Jesus. Eventually, his servant was healed by the power of the spoken word.

Then take a bundle of hyssop branches and dip it into the blood. Brush the hyssop across the top and sides of the doorframes of your houses. And no one may go out through the door until morning.”     Faith always demands corresponding action in line with one’s expectation. The bible describes faith as the substance of that hoped for and evidence of that not seen . For example , the person who wants to produce ice blocks from a freezer    looks at the water in a cup but sees ice . To him the water in a cup and the freezer are the substance of the ice hoped for and the evidence of the ice blocks not yet seen . Armed with this information he proceeds to make ice from the freezer.
