WHAT DOES THE AFTERLIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER DEATH

By   Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi Luke 16:19-31"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried....."        There is life after death as portrayed in this narrative by Jesus Christ of a real event .   If today is yesterday’s future then it means tomorrow is today’s future and so on it goes through eternity. It is the activities within a time frame that defines the period of an event for example; a wedding anniversary date is defined by the wedding that took place on that date. Therefore, it follows that for every existing time there must be an event, even eternity. Based on this logic, there must be an afterlife since time has no end or else there won’t be eternity.            There is no transition period or dimension  where souls are kept frozen for a futuristic resurrection of our bodies. From the above scripture we immediately go into a conscious eternity, Heb 9:27” And just as it is destined tha

IS THERE AN AFTERLIFE? A logical approach.

HEAVEN IS NOT FOR GOOD PEOPLE,ONLY ONE THING IS NEEDED

HEAVEN IS NOT FOR GOOD PEOPLE,ONLY ONE THING IS NEEDED Luke 18:21   "All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said. NIV       Despite the fact that this young businessman was visibly lying about keeping God's commandments, Jesus never stopped loving him. The young man’s claims about keeping the commandments where obviously not true.   No human being regardless of how pious he or she may seem to be can keep the commandments. Those folks who derive joy from intimidating others with their piety while claiming to keep the commandments have simply devised an ingenious way to conceal their lies Eccl 7:20”There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins” this includes all religious general overseers.      Jesus tested the young religious businessman on the area of priorities: God is to be put above all in our lives at ALL TIMES . Ex 20:3 NIV , and also on covetousness, the law says "Thou shall not covet..." (Ex. 20:17). Very o

RECEIVE HEALING NOW FOR THAT EMOTIONAL PAIN

RECEIVE HEALING  NOW  FOR THAT HEARTBREAK  "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound"; Isa 61:1NKJV"         Children learn by cognitive recognition, they are very impressionable that’s why whatever information with regards to what direction God wants a person to follow is best thought during childhood. A child who grew up in an abusive environment grows up with a lot of distrust as an adult because of past hurts   and it is a known fact that hurting people hurt others in response to pain.    The gospel of Jesus Christ is for the hurting to give them peace and to heal them wherever they hurt. It is summarized in the above scripture namely to 1)  Provide for the poor.2) Emotional and physical healing and 3)deliverance of the oppressed . 4)  release of prisoners an

CONDEMNATION FOR SINS ISN'T FROM GOD; HE FREES YOU FROM SINS

GOD DOES NOT CONDEMN YOU OF YOUR SINS -HE FREES YOU FROM IT          John 11:5 "Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus."JOHN 11:5           It is common to see persons from dysfunctional homes being relegated to the background in our religious gatherings . Those at the forefront of our church activities are usually those we consider better organized   with good education and with good reputation in society .   Martha was the exact opposite of this   that’s why the scriptural reference of Jesus’ love for Martha is of great significance   in Luke 10:38-42   Martha was caught up with serving instead of devotion time to Jesus and her priorities were misplaced.        In that event Jesus chastised Martha   for her own good. When the Lord points out our errors even when it hurts it is ultimately for our own good and it eventually brings out the best out of us   - We should   not consider it as an act of   punishment or   rejection. God convicts or disciplines

YOU ARE DEBT FREE BEFORE GOD

YOU ARE DEBT FREE. Luke 16:17 "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail."     The laws of Moses were given as a code of conduct to the Jews , unfortunately , there are some religious folks engrossed in the attempt of proving God wrong by thinking, they could fulfill the law , but no one could keep it. If you failed in  one , you failed all. James 2:10-11 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. NIV It was absolutely impossible for anyone to be right standing before God by observing the laws of Moses. Ga.2:16   Almighty God and judge of the universe Himself became flesh( 1Tim3:16)  in order that we may stand justified before him. He did what no sinful flesh ha d ever done. He fulfilled the demands of the law thereby giving humanity access to eternal life in His kingdom.. However,  before we  could partake of  it, we still had a debt that had to be paid.

GOD ISN'T ANGRY WITH SINNERS

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi   Luke 15:20 "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."       Isa 54:9.says".. I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee."KJV this scriptures says God does not hate the sinner. Jesus Christ received on His person all the punishment and anger meant   for all sinners including those unborn. And seeks to reconcile man back to God. Like the case of the prodigal , He longs to receive the sinner into His household of grace.        The only authentic solution to sin is a universal . Man is imperfect and we cant attain perfection in God through an imperfect path. Man -made religion which is man's idea at being saved is fraught with imperfections.       . He is longing to cleanse and receive the repented sinner who comes to Him for forgiveness .        This parable was an indictment on the reli

NOTHING CAN SEPERATE YOU FROM THE FATHER'S LOVE

NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM THE FATHER'S LOVE   Luke 15:20 "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."       The concept of God hating the sinner is contrary to God’s loving nature, the reverse is the case . The heavenly father transferred all the anger for humanity upon Jesus Christ on the cross and   eagerly awaits the sinner’s   return. He is longing to cleanse and receive the repented sinner who comes to Him for forgiveness .       This parable was an indictment on the religious folks of Jesus' time for their brutal, insensitive, self-ri ghteous and unforgiving attitude towards sinners. The older brother in this parable was symbolic of the religious bigots who subject themselves to a life of abstinence depriving themselves of an outward life of adventure and they think that others who didn't measure up to their standards were sur
