GRACE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES RESULTS IN HEARTBREAKS

Ex 26:33-34 NKJV  “And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.”
The Ark was the symbol of God’s authority over His chosen people by reason of the covenant He made with Abraham.  It contained the Ten Commandments and was placed at the centre of the Tabernacle .It served as a constant reminder of God’s promises to them.
The Ten Commandments were rules on social justice and equity and they had authority over everyone. No one was above the rules, not even the high priest. They were an expression of God’s love for His people. Love is defined by its rules; flouting them compromises one’s safety.
We do not like to be told what to do; however, we need to . Modern day parenting and pastoring  encourages overindulgence and children raised under such environment grow up being  adults that  loath all forms of rules and regulations. This is one of the reasons for the high intolerance among married couples. Marriage requires flexibility and a give-and-take approach to crisis resolution ; it leaves no room for rigidity or intolerance , therefore , we should always seek avenues to learn the importance of being under authority  through mature Christians.
No mother would desire that here six year old daughter share a bedroom with a known sex -offender even if he is a close relative . God gave us rules for our protection and they are designed to be a safeguard against bad attitudes and evil entanglements that threatens our safety and those around us. Rules protect marriages and relationships. Unfortunately, many a Christian tend to promote the use of religious paraphernalia (olive oil, handkerchief, holy water , wines, breads etc)  and fables over God’s rules . These paraphernalia give false hope and result in chaos in marriages. The teaching of the message of grace that neglects rules does more harm than good.
Grace is an invitation into liberty that should not be misconstrued to mean lawlessness .Lawlessness is not love or liberty but bondage. Gal 5:13-14 NLT  says  “For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” Grace is not a license to sin; sin kills.   Eccl 10:8 NLT says  “When you dig a well, you might fall in. When you demolish an old wall, you could be bitten by a snake.” There are rules that govern the Christian that are irrevocable, they serve as a shield against emotional trauma and physical harm .They are like walls around a house that guides a family against snake bites .  In Leviticus 17:5 God gave the Israelites rules concerning making sacrifices, He does not eat bulls and rams : the sacrifices were designed to keep their focus on Him. The rules kept such sacrifices from being meaningless and haphazard and protected them against the harmful effects of idol worship.
God’s people need to understand, that rules are designed to keep us from harm just as parents set rules with respect to relationships and outdoor activities ; rather than limit us ,God’s rules free us to live within the boundaries of His grace. We should be thankful for His boundaries and constantly remind one another of their benefits.
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour  and  receive grace and protection against the enemy’s attacks in Jesus name.
