REVERSING THE EFFECT OF NIGHTMARES AND EVIL VISIONS

Acts2:17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"
A dream is a series of thoughts or visions that takes place in the subconscious while a person is asleep. There are two types of dreams and they are : faith-based dreams and fear-based dreams. Faith -based dreams are messages from God designed to correct ( Genesis 20:6), direct( Genesis 41:25-26,32), encourage (Matthew 1:20) or warn the receiver ( Genesis 20:3 ,Matthew 2:22) . Faith-based dreams leads to the strengthening of one's faith in the lord and increase in our commitment to the fulfillment of divine purpose.
On the other hand fear-based dreams are ungodly and they originate from oneself, satan , demons and his false prophets. These dreams instills ungodly fear and a drifting away from the scriptures. They magnify Satan, demons and false prophets above the word of God and should be resisted (2Cor 10: 5). The proliferation of false theology in the church today are largely traceable to these prophets, the scriptures says in Jeremiah 23:31-32 "Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord."
False prophets trade on fear, they enslave their victims through evil interpretations of dreams that requires a never ending process of deliverance . The scriptures says in Hebrews 2:15 "And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." Jesus has delivered us from the bandage brought about as a result of the fear of death. We should not be afraid of the evil dreams because God has promised us that even when we walk through the domain of death, His rod and staff shall comfort us and goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives ( Psalm 23)
We shall be protected against evil dreams, the scriptures says psalm 91: 5-6 "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday." God’s love for us is irreversible and has no room for fear, the scriptures says 1John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." When we allow the knowledge of God's love for us dominant our hearts, it becomes difficult to be ruled by fear. Fear is the result of listening to Satan. Fear is all that Satan has: Jesus through the power of His blood stripped the devil of all his power. Scripture says in Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." if all power is given to Jesus, it therefore follows that Satan ,demons, witches and wizards are powerless , if that isnt the case then God must be a liar, but since God cannot lie then Satan and the false prophets who ascribe so much power to witches, wizards, demons must be lying.
Whatever we believe determines the type of dreams we receive. As Christians we should be dreaming Jesus -inspired dreams such as in Luke 10:18 "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." Our dreams should be about Satan's fall, but if we allow ourselves drift away from the truth of the word Satan will give us dreams of him rising and dominating our lives as often projected by his prophets. Through prayers and the declaration of God's word over our lives, we overturned evil prophesies and nightmares (Psalm 34:4 )and if the fear persists we are expected to seek the assistance of a mature teacher of God’s word who will guide us through the word( Matthew 18:18-19) .We should avoid watching movies, magazines that potray satan as powerful and meditate on God’s word before going to bed while trusting the lord for a peaceful night rest. God promises the believer in Isaiah 17:2 .."they ...shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. "
