PARTAKERS IN THE END TIME GREAT HARVEST

Luke 10:2“Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” KJV
                 The word 'labourers' is the Greek word ‘ergates’ which means, a toiler, a teacher. It is seems quite illogical to be asked to pray for the salvation of souls: it gives the impression that God is not really passionate about humanity, if He did, we should not  be asked to pray for the salvation of souls. However, when viewed in the context of the meaning of the word 'labour' , we get a better understanding of what He means by asking us to pray. The word pray is the Greek word ‘deomai’ and it means: to beg as binding oneself in a petition, make request. God wants us to make a commitment to be teachers of His word and to encourage the work of sending teachers to the ends of the earth to propagate the gospel of His saving grace. It is God’s will for all mankind to be saved (1 Tim 2:4) and teachers make it easier for people to make the choice of being saved and it is through wholesome education that great nations are built.    
                 Jesus defined what the work of God is in John 6:29 “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." NKJV. Therefore, the work of God involves teaching people so they may believe the word of God. Many Christians have committed themselves to praying, fasting, entertainment, donating to church building projects  and benevolence; as much as these things are necessary, they are no substitute for the teaching of God’s word. Nigeria boasts of the largest church buildings in the world and yet struggles with moral bankruptcy as some of these congregations are nothing but what the bible describes as a den of thieves with members afraid to marry each other. 
                A society cannot experience the healing power of God until the word of God is taught . It is the teaching of God’s word that generates the faith needed to receive a miracle from God.  The word of God is the seed that is sown that brings about societal reforms. Most countries invest billions of dollars in the fight against corruption and terrorism. These are ideologies that can only be overcome with the superior ideologies found in God's word. The church is a school with a mission to train  disciples (Mt 28:19). The proliferation of religious houses will not bring about the desired change until the truth of the gospel is taught (Rom 1:16). 
     Man-made religion promotes hatred, pride, covetousness, greed and selfishness (Col2:19-23) and lacks the power for self control. This is the reason why the most religious nations are among the most corrupt. Religion thrives on ignorance and denies people of the one-of-a-kind relationship with God through Jesus Christ. 
               It is against the backdrop of the outcry for a peaceful and secure society with equitable distribution of resources that necessitates the need for teachers of God’s word. The teaching of God’s word generates character and character begets hope and hope societal stability (Rom5:1-5). The Christian life cannot be fulfilling until we share in this bigger picture of our salvation. Salvation is not only about us. Jesus could not work miracles in His own community until He went about teaching from village to village (Mark6:1-6) a proof that it is in the teaching of the good news which says righteousness is not by self- effort but a gift to be received by faith through Christ Jesus that our full potentials becomes visible to the glory of God. 
     We are witnessing the fulfillment of the prophesy in Jeremiah 3:15 NKJV “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Verse 16 says the teaching of God’s word will bring about the desired increase or harvest we all yearn for.
Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive grace for  teaching of the gospel with signs and wonders following in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
