THANKSGIVING AND THE ANOINTING FOR BREAKTHROUGH

" Let the people  praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.   Then shall the earth yield her increase;  and  God, even our own God, shall bless us.  God  shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall  fear him."  Psalm 67: 5-7 

  "When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— 

 you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry?     Why did they waste their time with futile plans? 

  The kings of the earth prepared for battle;     the rulers gathered together against the lord  and against his Messiah.’ 

   Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 

    After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. 

   All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. Acts 4: 24- 32 NLT Bible

  The new testament scripture Acts Chapter 4  is a demonstration of Acts of the holy spirit . The last verse of Psalm 67: says when God blesses his people it will result in a testimony that will cause many to fear him. The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom . 

  The word 'bless ' in psalm 67 is the Hebrew word bârak  It means to have benefits , be well spoken of. Thanksgiving results in wisdom and the promotion of one's image to the point of intimidating the adversary. 

  Young David gave thanks through praise and it resulted in the manifestation of the power for breakthrough before king Saul . This led to David's promotion . The bible says . "And David came to Saul, and  stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and  he became his armourbearer.  And Saul sent  to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand  before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.  And it came to pass, when the  evil spirit  from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp,  and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed,  and was well, and the evil spirit departed from  him." 1 Samuel 16:21-23. 

    When the church gave thanks in Acts 4 the ground shook . As we give thanks, it results in a shaking  leading to breakthroughs .

   Israel moved around Jericho while giving thanks and the Jericho fell. (Joshua 6) Apostle Paul and Silas gave thanks and prayed and  chains were broken and doors opened Acts16:25-27

  Make it a habit to give thanks in your home ,it creates a peaceful environment with no room for demonic activities . Thanksgiving triggers the manifestation of the yoke destroying anointing of the Holy Ghost. The lord will sometimes put in your heart a desire to give an offering of thanksgiving to a preacher. The Bible says in Psalm 96:8 'Give unto the  Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an  offering, and come into his courts."

  Prayer: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to destroy the chains of darkness.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
