SOWING TO THE FLESH

Psalms 106 14-15  "In the wilderness their desires ran wild,  testing God’s patience in that dry wasteland ,So he gave them what they asked for,   but he sent a plague along with it."

   The human spirit is created in God's likeness and feeds on spiritual foods just as the flesh feeds on physical foods. The person whose spirit has not experienced the regeneration of the holy Spirit will have an appetite for unholy things that makes a person unclean.

 Jesus  Christ said in Mark 7::20-22 "For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder ,adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.” This is why religion can be so misleading giving that a person can be filled with so much spiritual filth and yet appear pious .. It is ironical that a person. could be filled with so much evil yet appear religious . 

    When a person. gets born again, the old sinful nature is replaced with a new spirit always hungry for righteousness.. 

To sow to the flesh means leaning towards pleasing the devil by allowing the unsaved, sinful , lower animal nature to dominate our thinking and actions. God who sees the heart says a man whose heart is full of evil is already  guilty . The bible says , Matthew 5:25 "But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

"For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live." Romans 8:13 NLT 

  Make it a habit to daily plant scriptures into your heart. .The seed of God's word will eventually bear fruit worthy of repentance.  The bible says in Galatians 6 :8 "Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit."

  The Bible describes the effect of sowing to the flesh . 2 Timothy 3: 1:2-5" For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.

They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.

They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.

  They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires."

    In out daily prayers, we should constantly  seek for a hunger for God's word and fellowship with God's people regularly online and offline .

Prayer: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to preach the gospel .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
