    "Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples." Luke11:1
        The disciples desired freedom from the shackles of the old testament Jewish traditions which required sacrifices before prayers could be made. There was no guarantee that prayers would be answered due to sin and guilt.   
    This was a very tortuous process therefore, being able to pray to God directly without those rituals was a fantastic option .The request by the disciples was not for Jesus to teach them how to pray but rather to develop an affinity or passion for prayer like Jesus . They saw that He enjoyed praying to the Father. Prayer should be something we should always look forward to doing because of its inherent benefits. They were witnesses to the benefits of prayers in Jesus’ life. They saw the ease with which He worked miracles and observed the close link  between prayer and operating in the supernatural .
    Prayer was part of Jesus' daily routine (Luke 5:16) and the surest way to experience an intimate moment with God outside the reading of scriptures, prophetic visitations, dreams and visions. In Luke 9, while Jesus  prayed, the mountain and it’s atmosphere were transformed into a spiritual hologram with  Moses and Elijah present. It was the most extraordinary manifestation of heaven- on- earth experience ever witnessed by the disciples . Jesus drew strength from prayer.       
         Prayer gives us access to the miraculous. Attach a metal pin to a magnet long enough an it soon becomes a magnet , likewise, the fellowship one has with the Father through prayer transforms a person into a human magnet of some sort that attracts the treasures of life. The magnet has the capacity to manipulate its environment in other to get a job done: so it is with the man of prayer. Multitudes often thronged to see Christ after a session of prayer Matt 8:1 KJV ”When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.”
            Jesus spoke with so much authority ,likewise the person who prays.  Jesus said in John 15:5 that without Him, we can do nothing. There are many things that we should do in addition to prayer, but without prayer we can’t achieve much.  Prayer is one of the main ways of abiding in Christ (John 15:7).Prayer is what creates the atmosphere for the miraculous to take place . Therefore , to experience the miraculous we should like Jesus pray without ceasing  with the confidence in God’s promise in Luke 11:10 AMP “For everyone who asks and  keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and  keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and  keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened” No man can shut the door to your progress in Jesus name

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
