HOW TO FIND HAPPINESS IN TIMES OF CRISIS

1 Peter 1:8 AMP "Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy."
       There is virtually no part of the world that isn't faced with social upheavals by reason of the activities of the ungodly. Jesus spoke of this day as part of the signs of the end times, Mathew 24:6-7 AMP says "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;"
    Prophet Haggai also predicted about an escalation of both human crisis and cataclysmic activities in the last days heralding the return of the lord (Haggai2:6-8). These events would lead to economic and social instability . Peace shall only be found in the house of the lord.
    Peace and joy are fruits of the Holy Spirit operating regardless of the prevailing circumstances ( Gal.5:22 ) therefore, the child of God is guaranteed overflowing joy in times of crisis. Joy is received as we open our hearts to God's word ,Psalm 119:162 AMP says "I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great spoil." also psalm 119:165 says "Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble. " Families with a tradition of sharing the word of God with each other are happier and peaceful.
            Money cannot take the place of the word of God in a home ,  Ecclesiastes 5:10 NLT says "Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!"An unhealthy pursuit of money (absenteeism)  destroys marriages and leads to misery (Rev.3:17) despising one's spouse or family  because of a financial problem gives satan the advantage.
     Joy is the reward for obedience to God's word Psalms 45:7 NLT "You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else." Overflowing joy follows obedience.
      We are blessed to be a blessing to others, this is achieved when we use our gifts, talents to help the less privileged members of society. Proverbs 14:21 NLT says "It is a sin to belittle one’s neighbor; blessed are those who help the poor." this blessing is manifested in unspeakable joy and a confirmation of our faith in the lord as source for our provisions.
      Sharing testimonies of God's faithfulness openly leads to overflowing joy, the scriptures says in Psalms 100:3 NLT "Acknowledge that the lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture." We should never belittle a testimony, our faith for greater success comes as a result of the ability to show appreciation to God for past breakthroughs.
    There is an extraordinary happiness the lord gives to thoses in difficulties especially when persecuted for the faith. The scriptures says in 1 Peter 3:14 AMP "But even in case you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, [you are] blessed (happy, to be envied). Do not dread or be afraid of their threats, nor be disturbed [by their opposition]." Faith and joy go hand -in -hand , through them we are strengthened in the stormy times and they are not subject to circumstances: Habakkuk 3:17-18 AMP says"Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! . Regardless of what comes our way, God has promised happiness to the faithful.Job 5:22 says NIV"You will laugh at destruction and famine,
and need not fear the beasts of the earth."  As you receive Jesus Christ as lord and saviour

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
