YOU ARE AN EXTENSION OF GOD'S HEALING HANDS

Mark 16:18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they  drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
        Believers in Jesus Christ are an extension of God's healing hands to humanity. When a person gets born again ( receives Jesus Christ as lord and saviour Rom.10:9), Christ's Spirit unites with he's or her reborn spirit, soul and body. The regenerated spirit of the believer is not in anyway inferior to that of Jesus Christ, they are of the same quality and inseparable. Ephesians 6:17 says "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit". That is why the spirit of the born again christian is so powerful . It is connected to Jesus and it is inconceivable  to say that a believer in Christ is possessed by a devil. It is impossible. That's indirectly saying Jesus can be possessed by a devil.God forbid.
       All things were made by Christ including the material  from which  diseases are made of (John 1:3) .He gives life to their DNA and can take life from them. Jesus Christ is the spiritual head of the church : an extension of His body on earth. Ephesians 4:16 AMP says "For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working  properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love." God wants us to grow to maturity by recognizing that each one of us  has been empowered by Jesus to manifest His power on earth. It is for this reason that the scriptures says in Mark 16:18 that by touching the sick in faith they'll receive their healing just as Christ did while on earth. God has given you power to heal the sick ( Matthew 10:8)
       Look at your hands and declare, "my hands are the extension of Jesus' hands and when I lay hands on the sick, they shall recover".  The era of healing and miracles did not end with the disciples as many without faith erroneously claim.  Jesus disproves this logic when He said in   John 14:12 AMP "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father." We are to replicate the things Jesus did during His earthly ministry as proof that He exists , the scriptures says in Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." We are called to heal the sick and  those oppressed of the devil. All believers in Jesus Christ are authorized and empowered to heal the sick through the laying on of hands. Healing isn't only for pastors, there are not enough of them to minister to the billions of persons on earth.
         When we lay hands on the sick in faith we are identifying with them and extending the love of God to them while bringing the disease in subjection to the name of Jesus. One way of doing this is by anointing the sick with the anointing oil, which is symbolic of the healing power of the Holy Ghost . The disciples of Christ's used this a  lot during their healing sessions (Mark 6:13;James 5:14) .Healing power is also manifested when we take the holy communion (Matt26:26-27,1cor.11:23-30). This is most effective during group prayers were faith isn't lacking (Matthew 18:19,20) that's why it is important that during such prayer sessions all nonbelievers should be excused from the venue before prayers are made  (lk 8:50-51). They are a distraction and hindrance to faith for the miraculous
      Certain cases appear stubborn not because the power of God is deficient but because of the presence of  non-believers. Jesus avoided these persons while ministering to the sick (Mark 9:25). Doubt is contagious.  It is difficult to receive a miracle while in the midst of doubters (Psalm1:1-3)
      Circumstances only respond to God's word ,Jesus declared the word (Matthew.4:3-10), it is the spoken word of God in faith that makes a prayer powerful . It is important also to let the recipient understand the cause of the illness. Not all sicknesses are caused by the devil, some are man made. Worrying leads to illnesses( prov.18:14) so does sin (psalm 38:2-5), other causes include overwork (Phil.2:27,30 ) and over-indulgence : therefore a change of lifestyle  is needed for healing to take place . Some persons need to be treated with natural remedies , provisions should be made for good medical care while supporting them with prayers  (2Kings2:20-21, 20:1-7 )
      However , most sicknesses are caused by Satan (Job2:7) We shouldn’t be quick to attribute our health crisis to sin or a curse , they are often caused by agents of Satan with the intent of causing disaffection for God , the scriptures says in Psalm 34:19 "Many  are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. "
     Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you. I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation and I receive grace for healing in Jesus name.
