PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS

2 Cor 10:3-6 KJV For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
WHAT IS A STRONGHOLD IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE : a place that has  been fortified so as to protect it against attack , a place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld . It is the Greek word  ‘ochuroma’  which means a castle , an arguments . Therefore , a stronghold is any idea that appears insurmountable like a fortified castle.
 2 Corinthians10 describes these ideas as being in the form of imaginations which is the Greek word
‘Logismos’  it means  computations ,reasoning, thoughts  . The clause ‘high thing’ is the Greek word
‘Hupsoma’ an elevated place or thing, (abstractly) altitude, or (by implication) a barrier (figuratively
 This refers to positions of spiritual or political authority, institutions and other exalted status among men.  Trust in the lord with all your heart and do not trust in your computations on survival .
      The African church has been made to believe in a theology premised on superstitious beliefs which teaches that strongholds are demons, curses , spells or charms. Jesus Christ disarmed demonic powers on the cross of Calvary and gave Christians authority to cast them out at will ( luke10:19) we are above Satan and his demons , Mark 16:17 NIV says  “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;..’ Therefore, it is unthinkable to say the born again spirit-filled Christian can be attacked by demons.  It will take a fly to feast on a piece of meat on fire for that to be possible . Demons are likened to flies while the believer in Christ is a flaming fire (Hebrews 1:7).
   Pulling down strongholds refers to the process of rejecting any theology that runs contrary to the word of God about salvation by grace through faith in Christ .  Therefore, whenever the devil shoots his darts ( thoughts) of failure and defeat towards you, quickly reply by saying ‘ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ (Phil.4:13)  and whenever he speaks of curses reply with ‘Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law’ (Gal.3:13) . Fill your heart with God’s word and seat under church leadership .Satan has no regards for rebels. Jesus taught on how to pull down the strongholds of the enemy over our minds by saying ' take no thoughts' or do no think about how the problem will be solved ,trust in God's love and care for you Matt6.31-34,Luke 12:11-12,22)
Prayer : Heavenly Father ,forgive of my sins against you , I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive  Him as lord and savior and receive grace and deliverance from every mental torment from the enemy in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
