DENYING CHRIST ISN’T THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN

Your Faith Shall Not Fail
Matthew 10:33, "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.  The word deny is a Greek word arneomai which means to contradict, i.e. disavow, reject, abnegate, refuse.
Every Christian will be tested at one time or the other on their level of loyalty to the lord. This is often done through very precarious conditions that we find ourselves in that requires making a choice between Christ and self. As we grow, we would encounter such events, however it doesnt mean that every time we fail the test, it would lead to our being rejected by God as many preachers erroneously claim.  If that was the case, Peter who was appointed the first general superintendent of the church wouldnt have been forgiven after he had denied Jesus three times in a row (John18:25-27). Jesus had foretold the event a few days before it occurred and prayed that the enemys plan to remove Peter from the fold wouldnt succeed.
The scriptures says in Luke 22:31-32 NKJV  And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you; that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." If what is popularly said with respect to Christ denying us is anything to go by then Jesus prayer for Peter is contradictory to Gods will of denying us before His angels. But Christ isnt contradictory which means there must be some other details about the magnitude or dimension of the sin of denial and its impact on the human spirit.
The denial that God speaks of is a total heartfelt denial, the scriptures speaks of this being possibility in Matt 15:8 NKJV "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. The reverse of this could be that with their mouth they deny me but with their hearts they honour me. This happens to every Christian especially during our childhood stage of spirituality; this occurs when under the overwhelming fear of what people will say about our faith in the lord, we tend to downgrade our relationship to Him but yet in our hearts we feel terribly sorry about our betrayal. Peter was under extreme fear when he denied Christ but His heart was for Christ (Matt 16:17) . God who looks at the heart (1sam 16:7) saw how remorseful Peter was and therefore gave him a second chance, if He did it for Peter, He will also do same for any believer that has fallen short.
This isnt the case of the unforgivable sin in Matt 12:32  NKJV Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. Jesus clearly says here that the sin of speaking against Him or denying Him is forgivable. He will not reject you even if you deny Him because He knows the state of our hearts. The unforgivable sin is a conscious calculated and direct confrontation against the Holy Ghost (Heb 6:4-6). This is impossible for a Christian to commit because it will require denying the reality of Gods existence after partaking of the fullness of Gods power. This was what Satan did against God and will not receive any pardon from Him. As you read this now, receive freedom from condemnation and guilt and increase in faith for exploits in Jesus name.
