THE MOST SPECTACULAR EVENT EVER !

Matt 24:30 TLB “And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
              There have been so many speculations on the second coming of Christ by many religious scholars especially from the world’s three major religions Judaism, Islam and Christianity. While most Jews reject Jesus Christ(Rom9:31,10:3), they look forward to the coming of their messiah however, Muslims believe Jesus Christ is alive and is with God  “Indeed I will take you (away) and lift you up to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve…” (Quran 3:55) .They also believe in the second coming of Christ, this is written in (Quran 3:45-46)  “God gives you tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be Jesus Christ, son of Mary….who are nearest (to God).  He shall speak to the people in infancy and when middle-aged, and shall be of the righteous.”. Muslim leaders believe Jesus will return as a middle aged man .The difference between the Muslim and Christian position on the second return is that He will be killed again  “There is no prophet between me and him (Jesus), and he shall descend.  He… will stay in the world for forty years; then he will die and the Muslims will offer the funeral Prayer for him.” (Abu Dawood, Ahmed)-  Faslu’l-Maqaal fi Raf’i Isa Hayyan wa Nuzoolihi wa ’Qatlihi’d-Dajjal, p. 20
        The interesting point in the records of these  religions is their acknowledgement of the soon return of the messiah as a literal and physical event to be witnessed by all. It shall not be in secret. Some religions claim that Jesus has already returned but secretly, this is contrary to what the scriptures says in (Matthew24:7 ,Luke17:24) and we are told that true believers in Christ won’t be taken by surprise. The world will remain indifferent despite the many warnings with respect to Jesus’ coming (Luke17:27-30), there would be propaganda in the media against this event mocking Christians like it happened in Noah’s era.       Despite this, Christians are admonished not to be anxious about Christ’s judgment as they won’t be brought under condemnation as the scripture says in John 5:24 TLB "I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.”
         The church is expected to be watchful of the signs of the soon coming king the last one being the global cry for peace and security (1Thes.5:3). This is already ongoing: meaning the second return is near. The world will witness the greatest catastrophe ever recorded on that day and they will be taken by surprise.   May your faith in Jesus Christ grow stronger even as you hold on to him in spirit and in truth .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
