DELIBERATELY SOW SEEDS OF HAPPINESS

John 3:29-30 NKJV “ He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. “
     Happiness is a state of being fortunate, convenient and contented. It is a state of wellbeing. Joy is a gift from the Lord , it is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit that has to be nurtured for it to flourish .
           The above scripture paints a picture of the church of Christ in a wedding : an event that is full of happiness and overflowing joy . The scriptures describes us as friends with God but unfortunately ,not many understand the privilege  of being friends  with the bridegroom (Jesus Christ ) The fellow who was close to the bridegroom was filled with joy . His source of joy was the word of God.  The word of God is a seed which when planted in the heart gives peace , joy and righteousness .The sower sows the word of God (Mark4:14) 
        Sharing the word is likened to sowing seeds of happiness resulting in a harvest of unspeakable joy . The same seed is sown when we fellowship with one another , the scriptures says in Rom 12:15 NIV “rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn” staying away from the gathering of saints deprives us from sowing this precious seed .
      Happiness is the outcome of wishing others happiness and genuinely showing concern for their welfare, this is the essence of Christian meetings. We should always look forward to such meeting with joy because they give us the opportunity of sowing seeds of happiness.
      That was what the writer of  3 John meant in verse 4  NKJV  “ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”    The word of God is truth (John 17:17) and sharing the truth requires going against the tied in a world that celebrates falsehood but it is rewarding knowing the outcome : happiness and a sense of fulfillment . The scriptures says in 1 Thess 2:19-20 TLB  “For what is it we live for, that gives us hope and joy and is our proud reward and crown? It is you! Yes, you will bring us much joy as we stand together before our Lord Jesus Christ when he comes back again.  For you are our trophy and joy.” 
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you , I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive him as lord and savior and receive grace to be a source of joy to many in Jesus name .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
